Dorin Marc is one of the most successful double bass pedagogues ever. As a Soloist he won prizes at most of the major double bass competitions, he held the principal double bass position of the Munich Philharmonic orchestra and was professor at the university of music in Nürnberg. His students play in all the major symphony orchestras in Germany and Austria, and many have also became professors. Now he almost completely stopped performing as such and is perusing the path of a conductor.
