A8 | Tending Our Bent Over Places

We all have bent over places in our lives. Often these are places we have tried to fix or overcome or deny. Sometimes we have sought help to heal them and that is good. Bringing our bent over places into the light where we feel safe can be so restorative. What if our bent over places are waiting for us to show up, listen, and attend to them? What might happen if we extend an inner hospitality to these bent over places, offering compassionate listening and loving presence to what seems so bent out of shape in our lives? I am convinced that as we offer loving, caring, compassionate regard for these aspects of our lives they can share their deeper story and be open to a grace that heals in its own organic timing. Attunement 6 | Gifts of Rest & Renewal

I find that something in me really struggles to trust the desire to rest and nest come mid-winter. Maybe you notice something similar happening within you too. Both a wanting for more rest to be renewed and something that resists or mistrusts that longing. Or maybe you notice another part of you that seems to be the permission granter, like you can rest after such and such gets done. Let’s go slow and make space to listen to the deeper wisdom of these longings held within us and open ourselves to the gifts of grace that come. I want to suggest that when we go slowly enough, stay close to our body, and not rush to meaning making, we can genuinely be expanded in our waiting.
