Descripción

Attachment, at an instinctual level, is a way of connecting to a group in order to feel safe. But what if this “safety” is not the unconditional and unwavering feeling we desire? What if it’s merely a transactional exchange based on expectations? These days, the concept of attachment styles is relatively common knowledge. This week Kori is putting aside the commonly known definitions and rolls of attachment and instead, dives into why we attach and how we can make connections rather than attachments. Attachments can be formed to any person, item, belief, or even memory that makes us feel safe. But Kori invites us to look at the ways in which you can lose yourself in this attachment; and in contrast, how we can find freedom in connection. She compares the way the two experiences make us feel, how they drive us to interact with others, and how they inspire us to connect with ourselves.  We’d love to hear what this episode sparked in you. episode E.6: Our Soul Diamond artwork

E.6: Our Soul Diamond

Who am I? One of life's greatest and most long-standing curiosities. The answer, at times, can feel less like an answer and more like an abyss of unanswerable questions.  In this episode, Kori endeavours to find meaning in the questions and to experience the enormity of our existence. While doing this she examines the connection between our human condition and the essence of who we are, our soul. What is the difference between the two? What damages or prevents that connection? And, how can we reconnect and evolve our existence? In order to illustrate this concept, Kori walks us through a visualization which she uses to nourish the relationship between the human condition and the soul, using our mentality, emotionality, physicality, and spirituality.  We’d love to hear what this episode sparked in you. E.4: Problems To Projects

Fear is a feeling we all know too well. Fear of the unknown. Fear that we’re never going to climb out of the dark hole that we’re in. So we get stuck because we’re too afraid of what’s on the other side after we climb out.  We all have things we dream of in our heads, but not as many of us have the courage to make them a reality. Instead, we let fear hold us back.  In this episode, Kori urges you to ask yourself what you’re actually afraid of so that you can overcome the fear and build the beautiful life you are worthy of. She’ll outline how you can turn your problems into projects, and she shares 4 inspired ways of managing these projects to ensure you are fulfilled and rewarded as you move forward. episode E.3: You Aren’t The Problem artwork

E.3: You Aren’t The Problem

There is a fundamental belief that we as humans all uphold in society—the idea that we are who we are according to the group. That our value is determined by what others think to be true about us.  But this is simply… wrong.  In this episode, Kori shatters the idea that we must conform in order to be loved and valued. When you’re made to feel like the problem, whether it’s in your family, workplace, or religious group, it can be difficult to strive on instead of crumbling under the pressure of the group. But Kori illustrates why problems are necessary for effective growth and evolution—within ourselves and within the groups we spend time in.  We’d love to hear what this episode sparked in you. episode E.2: You Are Your Person artwork

E.2: You Are Your Person

Somewhere along the way we’ve all learned we are not good enough. From society, our family, our friends, and our churches, we are hounded with the idea that we must conform— that we must be less in order to be valued.  The underlying doctrine present in our society is that the less we ARE, the more valuable we are to others. Because of this, we are all constantly searching for other people to fill this void in our lives, to help us feel as though we belong in this world.  Through this episode, Kori explains that who we are really looking to connect with is actually our innermost being. Kori explores how important it is to put our relationship with ourselves as top priority. Only then are we able to connect with others without expectations or at the detriment of our own well-being.  YOU are who you are looking for.Get a behind the scenes blog of the podcast episodes, as well as a weekly Sunday Journal Guide in Kori’s email newsletter: QMC Email Subscription  Please take advantage of the coaching, courses and connections available on the QMC website www.quaeromea.ca.
