Descripción

This episode is basically a compilation of the most unhinged things I experienced working in customer service, from being yelled at over groceries at 16, to dealing with entitled gym members, to full-on chaos as a barista and shift supervisor. Think: drinks being thrown, customers expecting mind-reading, toxic managers, and coworkers trauma bonding just to survive a shift. If you’ve ever worked in customer service… you already know. If you haven’t, this might scare you Follow, like, comment, and subscribe :) Instagram:  @casuallyspiralingpodcast [https://www.instagram.com/casuallyspiralingpodcast/?next=%2Faccounts%2Fonetap%2F] & @julbishop [https://www.instagram.com/julbishop/] Youtube: CasuallySpiralingPodcast [https://www.youtube.com/@CasuallySpiralingPodcast] Tik Tok: @casuallyspiralingpodcast [https://www.tiktok.com/@casuallyspiralingpodcast] & @julbishop12 [https://www.tiktok.com/@julbishop12] Share your stories or questions to casuallyspiralingpodcast@gmail.com Editing by Julie Bishop Cover Artwork by Angelina Richeson

Throwback Thursday: The Big D

this week I am off being my sister's maid of honor on her big day! yay! that means we have a throwback thursday! today we’re diving into the big D—dating, obviously. I’m talking about what dating looks like in 2025, my own experiences with apps, the chaos, the friendzone, the fatigue, and the constant struggle between being open, having fun, and not wasting your precious time. From dating fatigue to standards, from personality over looks to friendzoning by accident—this episode is all about finding that sweet spot between enjoying the ride and knowing what you deserve. Let’s get into it. Throwback Thursday: Am I the Devil's Advocate?

This Throwback Thursday we are taking it back to where it all started... This episode is a deep dive into uncertainty, specifically, my uncertainty about having children. While so many people seem sure about what they want, I’m still figuring it out. I share my spiraling thoughts, the “what ifs,” and how it feels to exist in that in-between space of maybe. Throwback Thursday: How to Find Balance (Re-Release)

I am currently finding balance in many things in my life so this week we are throwing it back to finding balance with a re-release! Incase you missed it or need a little reminder...enjoy :) In this episode, I talk about the struggle of wanting everything, career, creativity, money, and freedom while also craving peace, rest, and time to actually enjoy life. I get into the reality of burnout (even doing things you love), the pressure to do it all, and the constant pull between focusing on one path or chasing multiple passions. I’m starting to realize balance isn’t about having everything perfectly together, it’s about giving the right energy to the right things, at the right time. Still figuring it out. Still want it all. Just trying not to lose myself in the process. Because at the end of the day… we’re all just casually spiraling. episode Stop Being a Lazy Friend artwork

Stop Being a Lazy Friend

When did it become normal to not show up for your friends? In this episode, I talk about the shift in friendship culture from canceling plans, “protecting your energy,” and how sometimes it feels like we’ve lowered the standard of what it means to be a good friend. I get it, we’re all tired. But there’s a difference between real burnout and just not feeling like it. We get into flakiness, last-minute cancellations, and why consistency matters more than any excuse. Because it’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up for the people you care about.
