episode Purpose Outside Applause artwork

Purpose Outside Applause

This week, Joe is joined by Valeria Vania as they dive into the real conversation behind validation, attention, and what it actually means to feel seen. From men not receiving enough compliments to women navigating constant attention, the two unpack how affirmation shows up differently—and why it matters more than we admit. They get into the love-hate relationship we all have with Instagram, the rush of likes, and the quiet question underneath it all: why do we crave attention in the first place? Is it confidence, insecurity, or something that started way earlier in life? With honest moments, a little self-reflection, and some real talk about how we were raised, this episode challenges whether we’re living for ourselves… or for the applause.

episode The Mask Comes Off Eventually artwork

The Mask Comes Off Eventually

Kicking off the new year with intention and authenticity, Joe is joined by special guest Valeria for a deep and refreshing conversation about what it really means to show up as your true self. Together, they unpack the idea of the “societal mask” — the roles, expectations, and personas we wear to fit in — and what it takes to peel those layers back. From personal experiences to real-life reflections, Joe and Valeria Vania explore the journey of discovering who you are on the inside and how to confidently express that outwardly. It’s honest, relatable, and the kind of conversation that hits different when you're stepping into a new chapter of life. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without some nostalgia — the two bond over their shared love for the iconic boy band B5, adding a fun, throwback vibe to an otherwise introspective episode. New year, no mask — just real conversations.

episode Year 3000... again artwork

Year 3000... again

This episode gets a little crowded as Joe, Q, Taylor, Demascus, and newcomer Alexanderia sit down with the book 3000 Questions and let the randomness take over. No structure, no prep — just whatever question comes next and wherever the conversation decides to go. Along the way, Demascus starts questioning her relationship with her very active dad, Taylor admits she loves social work way more than being social at church, and Joe makes it very clear that he hates losing almost as much as he hates sore winners. Q does what Q does best and adds his own spin to every answer, while Alexanderia jumps in and holds her own like she’s been here before. It’s honest, funny, slightly chaotic, and proof that sometimes the best conversations happen when nobody knows what’s coming next.

Strict Program

This week, Joe, Q, Taylor, and special guest from the past Shay sit down to talk about boundaries—also known as how much disrespect we’re actually willing to tolerate before blocking somebody. Joe makes it clear that if you don’t answer the phone, he has no problem blocking a friend with peace and purpose. Taylor somehow finds a way to bring up her obsession with cornbread porridge (again), proving that boundaries don’t apply to food conversations. Shay comes in hot with a long-overdue apology to Joe for forgetting his birthday, and Q… well, Q is still trying to figure out what boundaries are, how they work, and whether he even has any of his own. It’s laughs, accountability, and confusion all wrapped into one episode—because setting boundaries is serious business, but we’re still going to joke about it.
