If Netflix did CCSC. Night Market HITS! & MC adds to the rainbow..

Coom & Currie Sports Cards – Episode 54 Did BC really leave MC off an episode… or is it all just clever editing? We kick off Episode 54 with our very own Netflix-style documentary intro as MC investigates the biggest conspiracy in sports card podcast history. We look back at the second Top Play Sports Cards Night Market, where the hobby community turned out in force. There were huge trades, plenty of laughs, great conversations, free pizza (thanks, Shane), and to top it all off, collectors pulled TWO case hits from sealed product on the night. It was another brilliant evening that showed exactly what makes this hobby so special. We also dive into the latest World Cup Prizm release, discuss some of our favourite cards from the checklist, and chat about where football cards continue to head. As always, the regular favourites return: * Mail Day * That’s Codswollop * Coom & Currie Court Room, where justice is once again served… whether anyone asked for it or not. We also take some time to talk about the more serious side of the hobby, discussing sustainability, buying habits, and the fine line between collecting and addiction. Somehow, Coom’s Supergirl Funko Pop also steals a bit of the spotlight, because apparently that’s normal now. A fun episode packed with hobby chat, questionable opinions, plenty of laughs, and the usual banter between BC and MC. Thanks for listening, and don’t forget to like, subscribe, leave a review, and tell a fellow collector about the podcast. Takeaways * Podcast theme tune upgrade * Success of Card Market Volume 2 event * Debate on negativity towards England in the World Cup Excitement around card collections and recent acquisitions * Popularity of football products and the World Cup * Observations on youth language and its impact * Issue of squad celebrations during matches Referees face significant challenges and abuse, leading to strikes and frustration. * The sustainability of the sports card hobby is a key consideration for long-term participation and enjoyment. Episode 53 of Coom & Currie Sports Cards is here! The lads are back with all the usual segments, including Codswollop and Mail Day, alongside plenty of laughs, banter, and hobby chat. Coom also brings along a Cosmic banger from his collection to show off. MC has been busy adding to the PC, landing not one but TWO incredible 1-of-1 cards, and the guys break down the latest additions and what they mean for the collection. Away from the hobby, there’s plenty of football talk as the team reviews the latest FIFA Club World Cup action, discusses England’s recent performances, and debates whether Trent Alexander-Arnold deserves a place in the squad.
