07/12/26 - Why Gospel Preachers?
As we conclude our Why Church? series, we're reminded that every Christian is called to be a witness for Christ. Looking at 1 John and Romans 1, we see that the gospel isn't merely information to believe—it is good news meant to be shared. Although fear often keeps us silent, confidence in the power of the gospel gives us courage to speak. God uses ordinary believers to proclaim the extraordinary message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
07/05/26 - Why Servant Hearts?
Continuing our Why Church? series, we ask the question: Why Servant Hearts? Looking at Philippians 2, we discover that the church isn't meant to function like a business serving customers. Instead, every believer is called to imitate the humility of Jesus by putting others first. When we gather with servant hearts, we strengthen the church, encourage one another, and reflect the character of Christ to the world.
06/28/26 - Why Generosity?
Continuing our Why Church? series, we explore a deeper question than simply Why Give? We ask, Why Be Generous? Looking at the example of the early church and Paul's teaching to the Corinthians, we discover that biblical generosity extends far beyond regular financial giving. It is a heart posture that reflects God's compassion, builds unity within the church, creates opportunities to meet practical needs, and demonstrates our trust in God's faithful provision.
06/21/26 - Why Offering?
As we continue our Why Church? series, we explore the question: Why Give? Looking throughout Scripture, we discover that giving is not primarily about funding an organization. Instead, it is an act of worship rooted in trust, gratitude, and generosity. From Old Testament tithes to New Testament generosity, believers are called to steward God's gifts faithfully and participate in the mission of sharing the gospel. Ultimately, Christian giving flows from the generosity we have first received in Jesus Christ.
06/14/26 - Why Communion?
As we continue our Why Church? series, we explore the question: Why Communion? Looking at 1 Corinthians 11 and other passages throughout Scripture, we discover that communion isn't simply a religious ritual. Jesus gave this practice to His church as a way to remember His sacrifice, proclaim the gospel, celebrate the new covenant, examine our hearts, and demonstrate our unity as believers. Communion points us backward to the cross, inward toward self-examination, outward toward one another, and forward to Christ's return.
