Castleberry Kate Identified After 37 Years | Sonya Alice Langan

After 37 years, the unidentified homicide victim known as “Castleberry Kate” has been identified as Sonya Alice Langan. Sonya’s remains were found buried in a vacant lot on Castleberry Lane in Bullhead City, Arizona, in 1989. Investigators determined her death was a homicide after a bullet was recovered from her skull. Forensic genetic genealogy through the DNA Doe Project helped give Sonya her name back, but her homicide remains unsolved. Anyone who knew Sonya Langan, or anyone with information about her disappearance or death, is asked to contact the Bullhead City Police Department at 928-763-9200 and ask to speak with detectives.
