The War Within

Though believers have been sanctified by grace through faith in Christ, Christians still have a sinful nature, which wages war against the Spirit. (Romans 7:15–25)

Sinful

The law is good, but we are sinful—and only Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, can make sinful people holy. (Romans 7:7–14)

Bound to Christ

We are bound to Christ and live to please Him as Lord. (Romans 7:1-6)

Mastered

We are either slaves to sin, which leads to death, or slaves to obedience, which leads to life. (Romans 6:15–23)

Live Dead

Believers are called to live every day in the reality that the old self has been crucified with Christ and a new life has begun.
