Daily Word of Hope
There is a stretch of ground under our oak tree we call Copperhead Road. Found three of them there last year. Growing up in South Carolina, you learn fast to not like copperheads. The LORD put enmity between us and the serpent, and I abide by that rule. But here is the thing: while I was writing this, I wasn't afraid. There weren't any snakes in the house. Anxiety would be worrying that one is about to crawl out from under the desk anyway. Fear looks at a snake on the floor. Anxiety looks for a snake that isn't there. In this week's message, we dig into what the New Testament word for anxiety actually means, why a divided mind can't trust God, and how the Holy Spirit used a pizza to teach me to stop trying to carry the whole week at once. The LORD took care of you today. He will do it again tomorrow. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
