Acerca de Didomi

Didomi is a collective of Christians who engage in the work of justice and peacemaking based on the image of God in their neighbor. We're also running the Didomi podcast! Join us every month as we reflect on how political and social developments across the globe should trigger us to pray and to pursue the mandate of Isaiah 58 - to loosen the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. For more information, email us at: contact@didomi.co (mailto:contact@didomi.co). And follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/didomi_co)  and on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/didomi_co). episode Furnace of the Lord - Ch.17 - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! artwork
Furnace of the Lord - Ch.17 - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem!

In Autumn 1967, Elisabeth Elliot visited Jerusalem to see for herself if the Israeli victory in the Six-Day War had indeed brought about a ‘new’ Jerusalem, in fulfillment of the Biblical prophecies of the Redemption of the Holy City. What she came away with is an intensely personal account of the city, its monuments, and the suffering of its people. But nonetheless prophetic.  As yet another episode of war rages in the Middle East, Pastor Marwan Aboul-Zelof decided to revisit Elliot's 1969 out-of-print book, Furnace of the Lord: Reflections on the Redemption of the Holy City, record it and share it on the Didomi podcast in the hopes that Elliot's voice speaks to us today, and to help Christians engage in peacemaking in the region and bring about healing, reconciliation and peace. This is the seventeenth and final chapter of her book, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You can find all the previous chapters at www.didomi.co [https://www.didomi.co] Hosted by Ausha.
