Today we’re going to talk about how cold-water immersion can greatly affect your genes in a positive way. To experience these incredible benefits, you only need to do cold-water immersion therapy for eleven minutes per week. You can get the advantages of cold-water immersion by using a special cold-water immersion tank, a cold shower, a cold pool, or a cold body of water. While heat therapy is beneficial, cold therapy has even more benefits. If you have no tolerance for doing this, taking B vitamins may help make it easier. Cold-water immersion can potentially help decrease: • ApoA to ApoB ratios • Homocysteine levels • Oxidative stress • ACTH and cortisol • Antibodies • Insulin • Uric acid • Your risk for upper respiratory tract infections • Depression • Pain • Inflammation • Muscle soreness • Recovery time after exercise • The growth of tumors Cold-water immersion can potentially help increase: • Thyroid stimulating hormone and T3 • T cells • White blood cells • Zinc • Noradrenaline • Insulin sensitivity • Mental resilience Cold-water immersion also helps turn on certain genes that would otherwise be inhibited. These genes have amazing effects, like supporting metabolism and many other health benefits. Instead of talking about nutrition or exercise, we're going to focus on a completely new factor that will help you never be stressed out again. 0:00 Introduction: How to never be stressed out again 0:20 How oxytocin affects stress 4:10 Tips for stress relief 6:58 Learn more about coping with stress! You can't avoid stress. So, you need to understand how to deal with stress naturally. Today, we're going to cover a new way to relieve stress that has nothing to do with sleep, diet, or exercise. Oxytocin is a hormone typically associated with reproduction. But, recently, I learned it's also involved in countering stress. Oxytocin is actually the most important hormone in counteracting cortisol and the fight or flight mechanism, and it's a major hormone involved in regulating anxiety and stress. Oxytocin is also involved in social biology and helps prevents atrophy of the hippocampus. The best ways to trigger oxytocin and reduce stress: • Bonding with people and pets • Volunteering • Donating • Sharing • Storytelling • Hugging This goes beyond diet and exercise. It's clear that helping others is something you can do to increase oxytocin and manage stress. But a few other factors are also at play. Vitamin C, magnesium, and cholesterol support healthy oxytocin levels, and estrogen increases the receptor for oxytocin. Check out my other videos to learn more about the best diet for stress and how to reduce stress naturally. It turns out that the food most people crave has some interesting benefits. Find out more! 0:00 Introduction: What is the most common craving in the world? 0:38 What this food does 2:20 The most common craving in the world 3:14 Is dark chocolate healthy? 4:30 What you need to know when you consume chocolate 5:30 Check out my video on sugar! Let’s talk about the most common craving in the world: chocolate. Potential benefits of chocolate: • It helps increase energy • It may provide cognitive improvements (clarity, concentration, focus) • It can help improve your mood and decrease stress • It makes insulin more sensitive and may help improve insulin resistance • It contains magnesium • It may help reduce coughing • It may help reduce blood pressure I’m not opposed to consuming chocolate as long as it’s keto-friendly. If you consume chocolate that contains sugar, the sugar can counter the positive effects of chocolate. Because chocolate contains certain stimulants, you may also want to avoid consuming it later in the day. Dark chocolate has the least amount of sugar and the most concentrated phytonutrients. Chocolate is also fermented, and much of the flavor actually comes from the help of microbes. When you consume chocolate, make sure: 1. It’s keto-friendly (it contains an alternative sweetener, like xylitol, monk fruit, stevia, erythritol, or allulose—not sugar, honey, or coconut sugar) 2. It doesn’t contain soluble corn fiber 3. It doesn’t contain tapioca fiber 4. It doesn’t contain resistant maltodextrin or dextrin Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The ACTUAL Root of Neck & Shoulder Pain

If you’re experiencing unexplained neck pain, shoulder pain, or upper back pain issues, it could be referred pain from your liver or gallbladder. Discover the connection between your gallbladder and shoulder pain. Find out if you’re dealing with referred pain and what to do about it. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: Your neck pain is not spine-related! 0:47 Gallbladder, liver, and neck pain connection 2:30 What causes neck pain? 3:30 How to get rid of chronic neck pain and shoulder pain 4:06 How to determine if you have referred pain Eliminate junk food with the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter app: https://drbrg.co/457AcIO Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/4l8Wtw4 Android Download: https://drbrg.co/4lMZyCQ Discover nutrient-dense foods that support liver and gallbladder health here: https://drbrg.co/45kPiMh Try these 5 strategies to cut ultra-processed foods: https://drbrg.co/4f9yYS6 Your neck pain might not be spine-related. Your gallbladder is a small sac that hangs beneath your rib cage and connects to the small intestine and liver. When you eat, the gallbladder releases bile into the small intestine to help you break down fat. Bile is made of cholesterol and bile salts. You can develop gallstones when cholesterol is high and bile salts are low. Before the development of gallstones, you’ll have bile sludge that clogs the ducts, applying pressure to the phrenic nerve that extends to the neck. This causes referred pain in the neck and shoulder area. Any congestion in the liver or gallbladder can cause unexplained neck pain and shoulder pain. This can’t be fixed with surgery, drugs, a chiropractor, physical therapy, or massage! You must address the root causes: bile deficiency, liver damage, alcohol, and junk food. Address these issues to get rid of referred pain. Bile salts are a powerful remedy for referred pain from the liver and gallbladder. TUDCA can help thin bile sludge and reduce fat on the liver. It’s also good for the eyes, brain, and pancreas. Increasing taurine is also beneficial, but dietary changes are the best remedy for this problem. To determine if you’re dealing with pain from the gallbladder or liver, manually massage the area to eliminate congestion. If this is the source of your problem, you’ll feel instant relief from right-side neck pain and shoulder pain.
