Many people describe feelings of euphoria and bliss after a 3-day fast. Fasting is often done for spiritual or mental benefits, and it’s the only way to achieve deep cleaning in the body. Extended fasting is also a great way to exercise willpower. One of the most significant risk factors for cancer is age, due to the cumulative damage to your cells. Cancer tends to grow into areas of inflammation and low oxygen, and fasting is one of the most potent ways to reduce inflammation. Cancer can not live on the ketones that come from fasting. Ketones support your brain and even activate genes that extend your life. Extended fasting may prevent cancer, so aim for a monthly 72-hour fast. Fasting significantly lowers insulin. Your body can not grow a tumor when insulin is low. To further reduce cancer risk, increase oxygen by going for long walks while fasting. Exercise significantly increases oxygen. Growth hormone also increases while you’re fasting, which helps you burn fat and preserve muscle. Apply the following fasting tips for the easiest transition and the most fasting benefits: •Increase fat intake 1 to 2 days before fasting •Practice intermittent fasting regularly before trying extended fasting •Consume plenty of electrolytes •Consume sea salt •Don't break your fast with sweets or carbs •Try fermented vegetables, eggs, or bone broth to break your fast •Slowly wake up your digestive system after fasting If you’re prone to gallstones, you could experience increased bile sludge while fasting. TUDCA keeps bile thin and flowing properly through the ducts. Take 2 TUDCA twice daily. Don’t do extended fasting if you’re pregnant or lactating! Is bread bad for you? I won’t tell you not to consume bread, but consider what would happen if you gave it up. Is bread keto-friendly? No. Is bread good for you? No. Let’s talk about why. Consuming bread raises your blood sugar levels and affects the body in many negative ways. Most bread also contains glyphosate, an herbicide that can lead to many health issues. Another big problem with bread is that it contains gluten. Gluten is a general term for a variety of proteins. These proteins are in certain grains, especially wheat. Our bodies can’t fully digest gluten, and it’s associated with celiac disease. The great majority of people actually have a genetic problem that causes them to be gluten-intolerant. However, a lot of people don’t notice any symptoms even though they have a genetic problem with gluten intolerance. This could be because one specific protein that’s part of the gluten complex stimulates a person’s opioid receptors. This can mask GI symptoms from eating gluten even though the gluten is still damaging your body. Just because you’re not experiencing GI symptoms from gluten doesn’t mean it’s not affecting your body in other ways. Other gluten side effects can include: • Diabetes • Hashimoto’s • Psoriasis • Dermatitis • Depression • Anxiety • Autism • ADD • Changes in the brain and brain function • Heavy or irregular periods • Erectile dysfunction Consider not consuming bread or grains for just one month and see how you feel—I think you’ll notice a huge difference. Metabolomics Metabolomics allows a practitioner to look deeper at your biochemistry beyond a standard blood test. Metabolomics provides a bigger picture and is a better strategy for creating health than the standard healthcare model. It can help predict your risk for chronic illnesses like diabetes two decades before they develop. Misdiagnosis is a common problem people experience when seeking answers about their symptoms.
