Descripción

Why do we still struggle with sin even after putting our faith in Jesus? In week 6 of our Brand New series, Pastor Hosanna Wong walks through Romans 7 and 8 and reminds us that the struggle within us is not proof that we are failing—it’s often proof that God’s Spirit is actively working in us. Using honest stories, practical encouragement, and powerful truth from Scripture, Hosanna unpacks the reality of the Christian life: following Jesus does not remove every battle overnight, but it does mean we no longer fight alone. Romans 7 captures the tension so many of us feel: “I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.” If you’ve ever wrestled with shame, temptation, discouragement, or the fear that you’ll never change, this message is for you. In this message, we discover: • The struggle is not a sign of failure. The struggle is often a sign of spiritual growth. Before Jesus, many of us didn’t even battle sin—we simply lived in it. Now the Holy Spirit is transforming us from the inside out. • The journey is not a sprint. The Christian life is a Spirit-led walk. God invites us to continuously walk with Him, confess honestly, receive grace, and keep growing step by step. • Loving you is not God’s great burden. Loving you is God’s great joy. God is not exhausted by your weakness or frustrated by your process. He delights in walking with you and helping you become who He created you to be. Hosanna also contrasts two powerful realities: A cycle of shame, hiding, performance, and self-reliance… versus a Spirit-led life marked by honesty, forgiveness, healing, and grace. This message is a reminder that because of Jesus: • You are not condemned. • You are not stuck forever. • You are not fighting alone. • You belong to Jesus. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs hope and freedom today. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode From Prison to Purpose | Chris Muller-Tabanera artwork

From Prison to Purpose | Chris Muller-Tabanera

What if the season you're trying to escape is actually the place where God is preparing you? In week 4 of our God Intended It For Good series, Chris Muller-Tabaneras walks through Genesis 41, where Joseph's story takes a dramatic turn from prison to the palace. But beneath the incredible promotion is a much deeper story about God's presence, wisdom, and purpose. After years of betrayal, slavery, false accusations, and prison, Joseph is finally called before Pharaoh to interpret a troubling dream. In a single day, he goes from forgotten prisoner to second-in-command over all of Egypt. Yet this isn't simply a story of overnight success. It's the story of a God who faithfully prepares His people long before He promotes them. This message explores four powerful truths from Joseph's life: • God is present in the prison. Even when life feels stalled, God hasn't forgotten you. He is often doing His deepest work in seasons of waiting and hardship. • God provides wisdom in the moment. Joseph refused to take credit for what only God could do. Instead, he trusted God to provide both the interpretation and the wisdom to respond. • God positions His people for His purposes. Joseph's promotion wasn't the destination. It was a new assignment. God places us where we are so we can faithfully serve His greater mission. • God blesses many through one. The blessings God gives us are never meant to stop with us. Like Joseph, we're called to become channels of God's provision, hope, and grace to others. Ultimately, Joseph's story points beyond himself to Jesus, the true Bread of Life. Just as people came to Joseph for food during a famine, we come to Christ for the life that only He can give. If you're wondering why God has you in your current season, this message is an invitation to trust that His presence is with you, His wisdom is available to you, and His purpose is bigger than you can currently see. If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope today. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode Faithful in the Waiting | Judy Otero & Kristian Mendoza artwork

Faithful in the Waiting | Judy Otero & Kristian Mendoza

What do you do when life feels like it's going in circles? When your prayers seem unanswered, your circumstances won't change, and you're left wondering if God has forgotten you. In week 3 of our God Intended It For Good series, Kristian Mendoza and Judy Otero continue the story of Joseph in Genesis 40. Wrongfully imprisoned and forgotten by the very person who promised to help him, Joseph finds himself in a long season of waiting. Yet even there, God is still at work. This message explores how we can remain faithful when we're stuck between where we are and where we hoped we'd be. You'll discover three practices for waiting well: • Move from self-focused to servant-focused. Even after years in prison, Joseph noticed the needs of others. Waiting doesn't have to stop us from serving the people God has placed around us. • Move from self-reliant to God-reliant. Joseph trusted God more than his own understanding, relying on God's wisdom even when the future remained uncertain. • Move from trying to change your circumstances to allowing God to build your character. The waiting wasn't wasted. God was preparing Joseph long before He promoted him. Whether you're waiting for healing, restoration, direction, a breakthrough, or an answered prayer, this message is a reminder that God's presence doesn't disappear in the waiting. He is still working, even when you can't yet see it. One of the most powerful truths from Joseph's story is this: Forgotten by people does not mean forgotten by God. If you're in a difficult season, don't give up. God may be doing His deepest work in the very place you feel stuck. If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope while they wait. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak artwork

Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak

Does integrity still matter when no one seems to notice, when the truth costs you, or when doing the right thing leads to the wrong outcome? In week 2 of our God Intended It For Good series, Kevin McPeak continues the story of Joseph in Genesis 39. After being betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph finds himself in Egypt, serving in Potiphar’s house. Even there, God is with Joseph, and Joseph continues to live with integrity under pressure. But when Potiphar’s wife falsely accuses him, Joseph’s integrity does not keep him from suffering. Instead, it lands him in prison. This message explores what Joseph’s story teaches us about living faithfully when integrity is tested: • Integrity doesn’t depend on my circumstances. Joseph decided in advance who he would be and where he would draw the line. He didn’t wait until pressure came to decide what mattered. • When we lack integrity, we often attack, blame, and twist the truth. Potiphar’s wife shows us how easily people can compromise the truth to protect themselves or settle a score. • Integrity comes with a cost. Doing the right thing doesn’t always mean people will understand, believe you, or treat you fairly. • Integrity speaks the truth but doesn’t seek revenge. Joseph doesn’t try to settle the score. He continues to be faithful and trusts God with the outcome. Joseph’s story also points us forward to Jesus, who was falsely accused, suffered unjustly, and maintained perfect integrity. Both Joseph and Jesus remind us that faithfulness to God may cost us, but God is still present, still working, and still writing the end of the story. If you are walking through a season where your character has been questioned, stories have been twisted, or doing the right thing has cost you, this message is a reminder: Maintain your integrity. Trust that God sees the truth. And believe that He is still writing your story. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs strength to keep doing the right thing. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode A New Future | James Grogan artwork

A New Future | James Grogan

What gives us hope when life hurts? In the final week of our Brand New series, Pastor James Grogan walks through the second half of Romans 8 and reminds us that suffering is real—but it is not the end of the story. Through one of the most powerful chapters in all of Scripture, we discover how followers of Jesus can live with unstoppable hope and unconquerable love, even in the middle of pain. Using the picture of a rope stretching endlessly into eternity, Pastor James challenges us to think beyond the short “green section” of our earthly lives and see our suffering through the perspective of eternity. Romans 8 reminds us that this life is temporary, but the promises of God are eternal. This message explores four powerful truths about what it means to live with A New Future in Christ: • Suffering is here now, yet I have hope something far better will be. Romans 8 points us toward the future restoration of all things. One day God will wipe away every tear, remove every pain, and fully redeem both creation and His people. • In my suffering I have help from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are never abandoned in our pain. The Holy Spirit helps us in weakness, Jesus intercedes for us, and the Father remains for us even when life feels heavy and uncertain. • God works for my good, even in suffering, by making me like Christ. Romans 8:28 is not a promise that everything is good—but that God can bring good even from painful things by shaping us into the image of Jesus. • My victory in Christ is certain because God’s love never fails. Nothing—not suffering, fear, death, failure, hardship, or loss—can separate us from the love of God found in Christ Jesus. Pastor James also speaks honestly and compassionately about grief, loss, disappointment, and the reality of suffering in this broken world. This is not a “just move on” message—it’s a reminder that Jesus meets us in our pain and gives us a hope bigger than our circumstances. If you are walking through suffering, uncertainty, or discouragement, this message is a reminder: The best is still ahead. God has not abandoned you. And nothing can separate you from His love. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs hope today. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
