Our relationship to anger is an important one that's often over looked. Whether you're an empath who resists anger due to your heightened sensitivity and fear of being hurtful (resulting in emotional overwhelm and self-neglect)... ...or you consider yourself someone with a short fuse who wants to be able to not be triggered as easily.. ..suppressing anger can have significant negative effects on both our mental and physical well-being; increased stress, chronic pain, dis-ease. Unaddressed anger leaves us in a survival response where we aren't able to make clear decisions, feel focused, or take care of ourselves fully. Emotional regulation and expression of anger is key.
