Easter 2026 - Resurrected Hope (John 20:19–29)

Mission - The Spirit's Power - John 20:19-22

In John 20:19–22, Jesus reveals that mission and Spirit-filling are inseparable, showing that as the Father sent the Son, so the Son now sends his people—fully alive in the same Spirit who empowered Jesus himself. The Holy Spirit is not a detached force or optional enhancement, but the means by which believers participate in Christ’s own life and mission, discovering that sentness is not opposed to flourishing but is its fullest expression. Jesus’ Spirit-filled life demonstrates that mission is grounded in the Father’s pleasure, shaped by the Father’s purpose, carried out with the Father’s people, and sustained by the Father’s presence. Far from a call to miserable duty, the Spirit’s power draws us into the Son’s ongoing communion with the Father, where we are sent not from fear or striving, but from love, clarity, belonging, and abiding nearness; living the most fulfilled life God intends.

The Mission - The Son's Sacrifice - John 12:27-33

We live in a world overflowing with information—facts at our fingertips, answers on demand—but still aching for meaning, connection, and hope. In John 12, we see Jesus standing on the edge of the cross, not offering detached facts, but revealing a truth that costs Him everything. This message invites us to move beyond knowing about Jesus to receiving Him—to discover that truth isn’t just information to master, but a person who draws us into real life.

The Incarnation (Part 1) - Isaiah 7:14

In this Advent message, we explore the surprising promise at the heart of Christmas: Immanuel—God with us. While we often chase the feelings of the season—hope, peace, joy, and love—we rarely slow down to seek the Person they come from. Isaiah’s prophecy confronts our shadow versions of these longings and points us to the God who steps into our fear, rebellion, and self-reliance not with power, but with presence. Why did Jesus have to come? Because we could not climb to God—so God came down to us. And His incarnation didn’t end in Bethlehem; it continues through His Spirit and His Church today.
