The Two Towers
This sermon contrasts two “towers”: the Tower of Babel, which represents humanity’s prideful attempt to glorify self and resist God’s purposes, and God’s “strong tower,” where people find salvation and security in Christ. Pastor Matt argues that believers should reject self-promotion and rebellion, trust in Jesus rather than their own achievements, and join God’s mission of spreading the gospel to all nations that were scattered at Babel.
Instruction for Older and Younger Women
Pastor Matthew Homan gives a Mother's Day sermon in Titus 2 concerning older Christian women who are called to live as godly examples, avoid sins such as gossip and drunkenness, and intentionally disciple younger women in biblical womanhood. Younger women should embrace teachings centered on loving their families, prioritizing the home, and respecting their husbands, because faithful Christian homes display the goodness of God’s design and serve as a witness to the Gospel.
Two Doctrines Before the Flood
This sermon digs deeper into two theological doctrines in the backdrop of the looming flood: the depravity of man and the impassibility of God.
The Beginning of the Sons of God
In Genesis 6:1-4, we ask two questions of this difficult text. Who are the "sons of God"? Who are the Nephilim? Then we end briefly applying the text to our hearts.
The Beginning of Family Faith
Pastor Matt encourages families to build a faith legacy by contrasting Seth's line to Cain's.
