While riding a bus from Boston to New York, he realized he forgot his USB drive and could not get any work done. This moment of deep frustration led him to sit down and write the first lines of code for Dropbox. He wanted to solve his own problem so he would never have to worry about carrying files again. This shows that the best ideas often come from solving your own pain and turning a bad situation into a big opportunity. ✎ Building a giant company was not easy and required a lot of grit. When Drew applied to Y Combinator, he was told he needed a partner or he would not be accepted. He had only two weeks to find someone he could trust to build a business with. He met Arash Ferdowsi at school and they talked for only two hours before deciding to work together. Arash even dropped out of school to help build the vision. They moved to San Francisco and worked through many challenges to grow the service to hundreds of millions of users. ✎ Other great leaders like Evan Spiegel and Brian Chesky also faced huge doubts before they became successful. Evan was laughed at in college for his idea for Snapchat and even turned down billions of dollars because he believed in his vision. Brian and Joe Gebbia were so broke they had to sell cereal boxes just to pay the rent while starting Airbnb. These stories prove that you do not need to have everything figured out at the start. You just need to take the first step and keep going even when people tell you that your idea is a joke. ✎ To get more details on all the research and studies mentioned in this video check out the articles below: https://www.thewantrepreneurshow.com/blog/from-thumb-drive-frustration-to-billion-dollar-vision-how-drew-houston-built-and-rebuilt-dropbox/ https://www.alphr.com/business/1010208/who-is-evan-spiegel-snapchat/ https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/10/the-birth-of-snapchat/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Spiegel https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/nov/13/snapchat-facebook-buyout-offer-rejected https://www.businessinsider.com/best-quotes-by-evan-spiegel-snapchat-ceo-2015-7 https://thunderbit.com/blog/snapchat-statistics-need-to-know https://ehandbook.com/how-airbnb-founders-sold-cereal-to-keep-their-dream-alive-d44223a9bdab https://www.businessinsider.com/how-airbnb-was-founded-a-visual-history-2016-2 https://www.hostaway.com/blog/airbnb-founders/ ★ BOOKS ★ • Momentum: https://amzn.to/3kJZIAv • Build to Serve: https://amzn.to/3XZiCSg • Your One Word: https://amzn.to/3R9qVII • The Top 10 Rules for Success: https://amzn.to/3JcNZVe • 254 Confidence: https://amzn.to/3jdh9c2 ★ RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU ★ If you liked this video, you'll love these ones: • Top 1% Net Worth By Age - https://youtu.be/GZagwF5h5RY • How to Stay Consistent and Motivated - https://youtu.be/xfw9bNXUdFQ • He Was 5'11" And "Too Short". You cannot wait to feel inspired to start working. You need to be consistent instead. Jerry Seinfeld became a comedy legend because he wrote jokes every single day. He used a calendar and marked an X for every day he wrote to make sure he did not break the chain. This video teaches you how to build boring habits that create huge success. You will learn why discipline is better than motivation and how to keep going even when you do not feel like it. ✎ We dive into 11 specific habits that will speed up your progress. You need to show up every day even when you do not want to. You must plan your day the night before and do the hardest task first. This is called eating the frog. We also talk about how Steve Jobs turned failure into success after getting fired from Apple. He focused on what he loved and asked for help. You will hear advice from top leaders like Richard Branson, Tim Cook, and Oprah Winfrey. They all prioritize exercise and sleep to keep their energy high so they can win. ✎ Finally, we cover the seven traits that every successful person has. These include self-belief, passion, and taking action before you feel ready. You will learn how Walt Disney and J.K. Rowling faced rejection but never gave up. Their perseverance is the key to winning. You need to surround yourself with positive people and find your purpose. This video is your guide to building a strong mindset. The Astonishing Adventure of Rescuing a Stray Dog | Mega's Story

✎ Get free access to our vault of PDF summaries for every YouTube video here: https://believe.evancarmichael.com/the-vault ✎ Today, we woke up to a monsoon in Manila, staring out from the 58th floor into a wall of clouds. The plan was to visit the famous Mega Mall, one of the largest in Asia, but the rain had other ideas. As we stepped into the city’s chaos, we quickly realized why malls are a sanctuary here—escaping either the extreme heat or relentless rain. The day took a sharp turn, though, when we saw a stray puppy with a broken leg on the street. ✎ Seeing the dog struggling, we couldn’t just walk by. We bought him some food and tried to catch him, but it was tough with the rain and his fear of people. With help from a security team and after a lot of effort, we finally managed to get him into a carrier. We named him Mega, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how young he was and how hard his life must’ve been. Taking him to the animal hospital was a small step, but it felt like the right one. ✎ Mega’s now at the vet, warm, safe, and finally cared for. The x-rays revealed the extent of his injuries, and he’s starting treatments to get better. Last night was probably the first time in his life he slept indoors and dry. It’s hard not to worry about him, but knowing he’s safe gives some peace. This wasn’t the day we planned, but sometimes life throws moments at you that you just have to embrace. ★ BOOKS ★ • Momentum: https://amzn.to/3kJZIAv • Build to Serve: https://amzn.to/3XZiCSg • Your One Word: https://amzn.to/3R9qVII • The Top 10 Rules for Success: https://amzn.to/3JcNZVe • 254 Confidence: https://amzn.to/3jdh9c2 ★ RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU ★ If you liked this video, you'll love these ones: • Manilla in the Monsoon: Team Meetups, Filipino Delights, and Typhoon Chaos! - https://youtu.be/_rl25H7MMLY • EXPLORING Tokyo’s HIDDEN GEMS Before LEAVING for Manila TOMORROW! - https://youtu.be/TDV2OBuvXxE • Japan Travel Vlog: Endless Food, Temples, and Fun in 2 Cities (Saitama & Kawasaki) - https://youtu.be/oJXY4uSVmvw ⚑ SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL ⚑ If you want to do great things you need to have a great environment. How To Sell Without Selling (Service Business Blueprint)

✎ Get free access to our vault of PDF summaries for every YouTube video here: https://believe.evancarmichael.com/the-vault ✎ Check out my NEWEST video: https://goo.gl/E0eE6m ✎ To learn more about Tim and his business, check out - https://superservicetoday.com/ ✎ Tim White built a massive service company in Massachusetts by doing what most businesses refuse to do. He cares like it is personal and puts the customer first every single time. In this coaching session, Tim shares how he started his mission in 2009 to give homeowners an experience they actually deserve. He explains that if his team does not provide world-class service, he does not even want to charge the customer because he believes in being a servant leader. ✎ The video highlights the three big things that make a service business great. Tim explains that you must have a servant heart, solve the bigger problem instead of just the quick fix, and never pressure people into buying things they do not need. We also talk about how important it is to own your mistakes. If Tim or his team scratches a floor or makes an error, they fix it right away without making excuses. This honesty is why they get so many referrals and happy customers. ✎ Even though Tim is a great leader, he was afraid to be the face of his business on video. We work together to turn his values and stories into a simple content plan that helps people trust him before they even book a call. This session shows how any business owner can use their voice to grow their brand. If you want to see how to lead a team of 50 people with heart and high standards, you will learn a lot from Tim's journey. ★ BOOKS ★ • Momentum: https://amzn.to/3kJZIAv • Build to Serve: https://amzn.to/3XZiCSg • Your One Word: https://amzn.to/3R9qVII • The Top 10 Rules for Success: https://amzn.to/3JcNZVe • 254 Confidence: https://amzn.to/3jdh9c2 ★ RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU ★ If you liked this video, you'll love these ones: • How to Get Your Book Published (Real Advice) - https://youtu.be/EycPpFWopyA • This is the Conversation Everyone Needs to Hear! - https://youtu.be/POlEmqg1kyM • How to Reframe Failure and Find Your Purpose Again! - https://youtu.be/WlTs5ECy0oU ⚑ SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL ⚑ If you want to do great things you need to have a great environment. Ways to Organize Your Life Together

✎ Get free access to our vault of PDF summaries for every YouTube video here: https://believe.evancarmichael.com/the-vault ✎ Check out my NEWEST video: https://goo.gl/E0eE6m ✎ Many people feel like they are living a life that was written for them by others. Society and school often give us a script to follow because it feels safe, but that safety can become a prison that stops you from reaching your goals. If you do not take control now, you might wake up years later with a lot of regret. Real change does not always happen with one giant leap. It often comes from making small, 1% improvements in every little area of your life. This is called the aggregation of marginal gains, and it is how the British cycling team went from being a joke to dominating the Olympics under the leadership of Dave Brailsford. ✎ To get your life together, you need to stop waiting for permission and start building momentum. One of the best ways to do this is to find your one word, which acts as a filter for every decision you make. For example, my word is belief. You should also reclaim your mornings by not checking your phone and instead putting your heroes in your ears by listening to mentors like Steve Jobs or Elon Musk. Using the regret minimization framework from Jeff Bezos can help you make big choices. Imagine yourself at 85 years old looking back; ask yourself if you would regret not trying. It is okay to suck at the start, and you must give yourself permission to be bad before you can be great. ✎ Building a successful future requires mastering specific skills like AI integration, data analytics, and digital marketing. You also need to learn how to communicate and tell stories that move people. As you grow, you must protect what you build by understanding cyber security. Following a solid morning routine, like the one shared by Hal Elrod, can help you stay centered. This includes moving your body, practicing gratitude, and feeding your brain with positive thoughts. Remember that consistency is more important than being perfect. If you want to change your life, you have to take action today instead of waiting for the perfect time. ✎ To get more details on all the research and studies mentioned in this video check out the articles below: https://hbr.org/2010/07/defend-your-r https://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-a https://www.shawnachor.com/hbr-consuming-negative-news-can-make-you-less-effective-at-work/ https://www.pragmaticinstitute.com/news-post/renovus-capital-partners-and-petra-capital-partners-announce-the-sale-of-pragmatic-institute/ https://hai.stanford.edu/ai-index/202 ★ BOOKS ★ • Momentum: https://amzn.to/3kJZIAv • Build to Serve: https://amzn.to/3XZiCSg • Your One Word: https://amzn.to/3R9qVII • The Top 10 Rules for Success: https://amzn.to/3JcNZVe • 254 Confidence: https://amzn.to/3jdh9c2 ★ RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU ★ If you liked this video, you'll love these ones: • How to Write a Book Manuscript - https://youtu.be/m2-HDAk_2Z8 • How A Free Bottle Of Whiskey Built A Billion Dollar Brand (The Jack Daniel's Story) - https://youtu.be/oQWBdSS8mkI • I Analyzed 50 Billionaires: Here’s What They Have in Common - https://youtu.be/iDEnsGSerfY ⚑ SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL ⚑ If you want to do great things you need to have a great environment.
