Instead of pursuing raw power, military dominance, or personal glory, Solomon asks for wisdom to govern God’s people faithfully, and through that wisdom the kingdom begins to resemble a partial restoration of Edenic peace, where justice, abundance, stability, and prosperity flow outward even to the surrounding nations.
