May 3, 2026 We are in our third installment of the book of Job covering the universal, yet unpopular, topic of suffering. Week one we discussed how God uses suffering and week two how we are to respond. This week we will explore the function of suffering. Does God have a design in suffering? Has God made provisions for such difficulties as sin and suffering through our relationship with Jesus? Yes! Suffering is designed through God’s grace to kill sin. When we understand what God is doing in the spiritual reality of our lives through things like suffering, we can submit to His plan and come out completely transformed to be more like Jesus from the inside out. episode The Kindness of God | Hector Ortiz artwork

The Kindness of God | Hector Ortiz

06.14.2026 Part of God’s character is defined by kindness—His goodness and mercy in action. By choosing the single forbidden tree over God’s abundant provision, humanity succumbed to the enemy’s deception, trading divine good for a sinful nature and breaking their spiritual connection with God despite being sovereignly gifted with the freedom of choice. Though they were deceived and fell into sin, God’s grace provided a rescue plan. Through Jesus’s sacrifice, we are forgiven, justified, and reconciled by faith, not works. This free gift replaces our sinful nature with a new spirit, restoring our relationship with God. By strengthening ourselves through meditation on God’s free gift, we can effectively manage our households and disciple others, faithfully stewarding His blessings to fill our cities with Jesus for His glory. The God-Centered God | Dan Lyle

06.07.2026 This week marks the beginning of a new sermon series where we’ll be examining the Character of God. There are no greater questions that we can ask than, “Who is God, and how can I relate to Him?” Throughout this series we’ll hear from different pastors, addressing God’s kindness, love, compassion, fatherliness, generosity, justice, presence, and His very good news. Today we are asking the question, “What is the chief and highest end of God?” His highest, most pinnacle pursuit may not be what we expect, but it’s certainly very good for us. Let’s lean in and discover more about God together. Baptism Weekend The Changed Life

May 31, 2026 Sermon Summary Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we personally trust Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are immersed in water to identify with Jesus in His death, and when brought out of the water, they identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. The declaration is threefold: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of God’s family. Authentic Community and Suffering | ryan peterson

May 24, 2026 In conclusion to our series on suffering, we look at the necessity of authentic community. We were never meant to endure life alone. Real community is not supplemental—it is essential. Not mere proximity to people, but a deep heart-connection formed through an intentional relationship. When the outer man is stripped away, and the inner man is revealed, and true connection becomes possible. As we share our hearts with one another, we experience the belonging we were created for. Through a vulnerable, authentic relationship, God breaks down the outer man and forms Christ within us. Step into the vulnerable world of authentic community—and together reap the strength, healing, and transformation it brings. 05.17.2026 SERMON NOTES This week we come to the climactic scene that the book of Job has been building toward: the powerful encounter between God and man. Job comes off the bench with a 2–0 victory over the enemy, exhausting rounds of discourse with friends, has his mind renewed for six chapters, and now is about to be humbled, silenced, and transformed by God. Out of the storm God speaks, leading Job through over 80 questions that expose the limits of man and reveal the mysteries of God. As God moves from the visible creation to unseen realities, the message becomes clear: if Job cannot govern creation, how could he comprehend the reality where God dwells? Yet God’s goal is not merely to inform Job, but to reveal Himself. Job moves beyond knowing about God and finally encounters Him. Revelation is God’s invitation to come closer and know Him personally. Beyond the suffering, the sin, and the storm, God wants us to know Him. This is eternal life (John 17:3).
