Heather Oesterreich is an award-winning professor and teacher. She began teaching in the 1990s and started her career with a bang when she was a Churchill County New Teacher of the Year Award finalist. Heather Oesterreich also came in as a finalist in the Clark County School District New Teacher of the Year Award in 1995 and finally won the Alexis Park Teacher of the Year Award in 1996. Since that time, she has won nearly a dozen other auspicious teaching awards for her work in teaching at the collegiate level.

Most recently, Heather Oesterreich has returned to her roots as a secondary teacher in public schools and expanded her work to include social justice, diversity and equity consulting.
