We are kicking off a new series called IRL (In Real Life) HumanizeHer [https://www.humanizeher.com/events]. This series gives you a behind-the-scenes, unpolished view of conferences, gatherings, and our on-the-ground action. We are showing the raw effort, the amazing connections, and the technical brilliance that goes into building this movement. We recently held our Annual HumanizeHer Event — a celebration of one year of commitment, incredible growth, and the most dedicated team in media. This movement has deep roots: it was forged by a team unified by a strong belief in the mission and years of shared professional experience. A year ago, we launched with just an idea. Here is what we built together: Nearly 50 podcast episodes recorded. Millions of views across our content and counting. We took over the podcast lounge at South by Southwest, hosting 3 live recordings. We hosted multiple community events, bringing the network to life. I started this because building an inclusive environment was not enough — we needed to raise the voices of women and make it loud. This movement is a testament to that idea, driven by our all-women badass team: Erica Lockheimer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericalockheimer/] - CEO & Founder of HumanizeHer Elizabeth Wendorf-Bloesser, [https://www.linkedin.com/in/elizabethwendorf/] Co-Founder and COO Becky Davis, [https://www.linkedin.com/in/beckyreneedavis/] Director of Photography, Creative Producer & Editor Ash Blodgett [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashblodgett/], Director & Creative Producer Kristen Basile West [https://www.linkedin.com/in/hellokristenwest/], Director of Brand & Design Jazmine Orozco Lugo [https://www.linkedin.com/in/jazmineorozcolugo/], Program Manager. Suzanne Ewing-Ervin [https://www.linkedin.com/in/suzanne-ewing-ervin-602b189/], Advisor and Head of Community Events. Valerie Sassani [https://www.linkedin.com/in/valerie-sassani-3bab5912/], Advisor on Marketing and Strategy. Telle Whitney [https://www.linkedin.com/in/telle-whitney/], Advisor on Women-Focused Impact. This is not just a podcast — it is a movement built to help one another excel better, learn better, and love better. A huge thank you to our incredible team, advisors, and founding sponsors like BitGo [https://www.bitgo.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=&utm_campaign=Core_Brand&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23269135818&gbraid=0AAAAABmoZeRxN6YrMj9btsKDu73NqL3-5&gclid=CjwKCAjwhe3OBhABEiwA6392zDpKYalJTGM9qjuvt07AaTH-637QZiWxnxuWEKFPN21hc_Sgfph-yRoCwsAQAvD_BwE]. You can only go big when you have a phenomenal team that trusts each other and delivers.

episode AI Predictions with Kumo.AI & Redefining Startup Culture | Hema Raghavan - Co-Founder & CTO, Kumo.AI artwork

AI Predictions with Kumo.AI & Redefining Startup Culture | Hema Raghavan - Co-Founder & CTO, Kumo.AI

In this episode of the HumanizeHer Podcast, we sit down with Dr. Hema Raghavan [https://www.linkedin.com/in/hema-raghavan-1581075/], the CTO and Co-Founder of Kumo.ai [http://kumo.ai] and a true pioneer in the artificial intelligence space. As former LinkedIn colleagues, HumanizeHer host Erica Lockheimer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericalockheimer/] and Hema take a trip down memory lane of their days together at LinkedIn [https://www.linkedin.com/company/linkedin/posts/?feedView=all]. Hema is an absolute powerhouse building at the absolute frontier of deep technical AI. Before launching her own startup, Hema spent years building core engineering systems at iconic companies like LinkedIn, leading the brilliant team behind the massive "People You May Know" engine. But despite operating at the highest levels of technology, Hema's real passion is humanizing AI. If you're feeling nervous about the pace of the AI revolution, she wants you to take a deep breath. Hema promises AI isn't scary - it's actually liberating. By letting AI automate the repetitive grunt work, it frees humans up to reclaim our time, find our true joy, and live more connected lives. Key Takeaways from the Conversation: * Democratization of Tech: How AI tools like Claude [https://claude.ai/new] and Gemini [https://gemini.google.com/] are collapsing traditional skill boundaries, allowing Product Managers and Data Scientists to ship code directly and freeing engineers from tedious grunt work. * Debunking the "Four Men in a Garage" Myth: Hema discusses intentionally building a counterculture at Kumo.ai that embraces flexibility, supports "lean-in dads", and treats personal life spikes with empathy. * Reframing Risk and Career Growth: A candid conversation on navigating financial risk in startups and the power of radical honesty during the interview process. * Heritage and Resilience: Hema shares beautiful personal stories about moving from Mumbai to the US, her parents' dedication to her education, and how a legendary tale of her grandmother taking a boat to Pakistan in 1925 puts modern risk into perspective. Packed with technical insight, vulnerability, and actionable advice from our very own Erica Lockheimer - like "outsource everything but love" - this episode is an inspiring watch for anyone looking to understand the future of AI, parental scaling, and what it truly means to pay it forward to the next generation of women in tech. Special Shoutouts in this Episode: Deepak Agarwal [https://www.linkedin.com/in/dipu1025/] Igor Perisic [https://www.linkedin.com/in/igorperisic/] Vanja Josifovski [https://www.linkedin.com/in/vjosifovski/] Jure Leskovec [https://www.linkedin.com/in/leskovec/] Rosie Jones [https://www.linkedin.com/in/rosie-jones-899276/] Rukmini Iyer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/rukmini-iyer-7466b51/] Hema's Husband & Her Parents ❣️ Listen in and join the conversation with host, Erica Lockheimer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericalockheimer/] and co-host, Elizabeth Wendorf-Bloesser [https://www.linkedin.com/in/elizabethwendorf/].

episode Redefining Prenups as a Power Move with First | Libby Leffler - Founder & CEO, First artwork

Redefining Prenups as a Power Move with First | Libby Leffler - Founder & CEO, First

In this powerful episode, we sit down with Libby Leffler [https://www.linkedin.com/in/libbylh/], the Co-Founder and CEO of First [https://www.linkedin.com/company/thisfirst/] (affectionately dubbed the "TurboTax for prenups"). Libby spent two decades helping build the world's most powerful rocket ships - from Google [https://www.linkedin.com/company/google/] and Facebook [https://www.linkedin.com/company/facebook/] to SoFi [https://www.linkedin.com/company/sofi/] and Compass [https://www.linkedin.com/company/compassinc/]. But at the height of her corporate career, with a newborn at home, she chose to step away and finally do the thing she was scared to do. Libby built an innovative legal-tech platform that cuts out months of stress and thousands in fees to make prenups simple, cozy, and collaborative. By taking the awkwardness out of money, she is proving that a clear agreement isn't a breaking point - it's a powerful joining point that strengthens the marriage bond. Because true transparency gives you the ultimate freedom to build your future together. Key Takeaways From the Conversation * "Personal Stack" Identity: Libby explains how First is transforming prenuptial agreements from a taboo relationship breaking point into a collaborative, cozy, and foundational joining point. She shares fascinating user trends - including the rise of the "pet-nup," protecting digital IP, and why 50% of their prenups are initiated by women. * Reality of the Founder Journey: Stepping away from the "LinkedIn highlight reel," Libby pulls back the curtain on the raw financial and emotional sacrifices of leaving corporate safety to build a startup from scratch. * "Balance is Bullshit": Rejecting the traditional myth of work-life balance, Libby advocates for alignment - unapologetically owning your ambition while structuring life around your core values. * Grief, Resilience, and Metamorphosis: In a deeply moving segment, Libby opens up about the sudden, tragic loss of her father at 33 weeks pregnant while simultaneously fundraising. She discusses how the rhythm of her mission-driven work served as a grounding compass during a season of profound grief. "Reinvention is possible at every stage and every part of the journey. Push yourself into uncomfortable situations because that is where you learn the fastest." - Libby Leffler

Solving Climate Anxiety with Elemental Impact | Dawn Lippert | Shangri La x HumanizeHer

HumanizeHer x Shangri La "Visionary Voices" brings HumanizeHer's signature conversations to Shangri La, a Center of Cultures & Ideas and Museum of Islamic Art in Honolulu, Hawai'i, featuring three special episodes with visionary women leaders from Hawai'i. In this episode of HumanizeHer, we sit down with Dawn Lippert [https://www.linkedin.com/in/dawnlippert/] - and this conversation might just change the way you see the planet. It started with a childhood instinct, charging her family a quarter for leaving the lights on. Two Yale [https://www.linkedin.com/school/yale-university/] degrees later, that instinct is a global mission. Today, Dawn leads as the CEO of Elemental Impact [https://www.linkedin.com/company/elementalimpact/], her non-profit platform that has deployed over $105 million into climate innovation, while also leading Earthshot Ventures [https://www.linkedin.com/company/earthshot-ventures/], a $94 million private fund. Together, these two engines have unlocked more than $11 billion in additional funding for global solutions. To date, her portfolio has created 17,200 jobs and avoided 20 million metric tons of CO2. We caught up with her in Hawai'i - her home and the testing ground for everything she believes about clean energy, community, and the relentless belief that we can build a better world. Key Highlights Include: * Power of Entrepreneurship: How the non-profit, Elemental Impact, has invested in over 160 companies to bridge the "capital gap" for risky but essential climate solutions. * The AI x Climate Paradox: A deep dive into how AI is simultaneously increasing energy demand and providing the "three-fold" acceleration needed to solve complex problems in energy, materials, and infrastructure. * A "Circular" Future: Insights into groundbreaking startups like Super Circle [https://www.supercircle.world/] (fashion recycling) and Nth Cycle [https://nthcycle.com/] (domestic mineral recycling) that are making sustainability profitable. * Action as the Antidote: Addressing "climate anxiety" by empowering individuals to leverage their pocketbooks, their votes, and their careers to build a lasting world. Dawn also discusses the launch of Earthshot Ventures [https://www.linkedin.com/company/earthshot-ventures/], her sister venture fund, and her mission to prove that underrepresented founders are the competitive advantage the climate tech industry needs. It is an inspiring look at how ingenuity and community are coming together to "bring down the carbon curve." Mahalo to VToku [https://www.linkedin.com/company/vtoku/] for their technical support and partnership with our production crew in bringing this series to life. Listen in and join the conversation with host, Erica Lockheimer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericalockheimer/] and co-host, Elizabeth Wendorf-Bloesser [https://www.linkedin.com/in/elizabethwendorf/].
