Acerca de JesusRest

JesusRest is a Scripture-centered podcast exploring the finished work of Christ and the end of the Sinai covenant. Many Christians speak of grace — yet still live under performance, obligation, and quiet fear. Is salvation secured by Christ alone, or are believers still measured by law, tithing, and behavior? This podcast examines the Bible as a unified story of promise, covenant, and fulfillment. We explore the difference between the Sinai covenant and the New Covenant, the meaning of freedom from law, and what it truly means to live by the Spirit rather than performance. If you’re wrestling with grace, law, faith, works, covenant theology, or assurance of salvation — you’re in the right place. Scripture interprets Scripture. Christ is the center. Rest is the result.

Episode 4: The Veil Is Gone — So What Now?

For the last Episode in this series, we give you episode 4: Why did James quote Amos in Acts 15? What does it mean that God would “rebuild the tabernacle of David”? And what began in Acts 1 when the Spirit was poured out? In this episode, we finish the story of David’s tabernacle and connect it to the tearing of the veil. We explore what open access to God really means, how Christ fulfills and establishes the law (Romans 3:31), and how difficult passages fit within covenant fulfillment — not Sinai restoration. We examine: 1. Acts 1 and the beginning of open access 2. The meaning of the torn veil 3. Establishing the law without returning to obligation 4. David’s tabernacle as prophetic fulfillment 5. How grace and truth resolve difficult Scriptures If the veil is truly removed and Christ is our High Priest, then something massive has shifted. And it changes everything.

Episode 3: He Is Our Life — Abiding, Growth, and the Commandments of Christ

In this 4-part series we give you episode 3: What does it actually mean that “Christ is our life” (Colossians 3:4)? In this episode, we move beyond behavior modification and into union. Growth in the Christian life is not striving harder under a new system — it is abiding in the Vine (John 15). We explore how to read Scripture from union instead of distance, how the commandments of Christ are not burdensome, and how the law of liberty operates through faith working through love (Galatians 5:6). We address: 1. What abiding really means 2. How spiritual growth actually happens 3. The difference between effort and dependence 4. The law of Christ vs. Sinai obligation 5. Why love fulfills the law without returning to legalism If Christ truly is our life, then obedience flows from Him — not toward Him.

Episode 2: The Covenant You Cannot Mix

In this 4-part series, we give you episode 2: What happens when Sinai and the covenant of promise are blended together? Scripture gives a clear answer: the promise is void. In this episode, we examine why Jesus was born under the law, and how His teachings must be understood in that covenant context. We explore how Christ fulfills and replaces the law without abolishing morality, how repentance fits inside grace, and why salvation stands secure apart from performance. We also address the mystery of discipline and reward for believers — correction without condemnation, kingdom participation without earning eternal life. Episode 1: The End of Sinai: Grace Beyond Performance

IN THIS 4-PART SERIES, WE GIVE YOU EPISODE 1: Did Christ fulfill the Sinai covenant — or does it still define how believers relate to God? In our first episode of Jesus Rest, we explore the purpose of the law covenant, the difference between promise and performance, and what Scripture says about freedom from condemnation. Many Christians speak of grace yet still live under subtle performance expectations — measuring faith by behavior, obligation, or effort. But if the covenant defined by blessing and curse has ended in Christ, what does that mean for salvation, assurance, and daily life? This episode begins a careful, Bible-centered journey through covenant, law, grace, and the finished work of Jesus. If this episode helps you, consider sharing it. To support this work, visit JesusRest.com. Listen to Episode 2 as we continue examining what replaced Sinai and how believers now walk in freedom.
