Courageous Christianity – Courageous Discernment

How do we faithfully navigate relationships, conflicts, and difficult people without losing our integrity? In Part 9 of our Courageous Christianity series, “Courageous Discernment,” we explore Joshua 9:1–27 and Israel’s encounter with the Gibeonites, a story of deception, discernment, and God’s faithfulness. This message examines what it means to engage others with courageous curiosity, courageous character, and a willingness to bear a courageous cost. Even when motives are unclear, trust is broken, or relationships become difficult, God calls His people to seek His wisdom, reflect His character, and respond in ways that honor Him. Most importantly, this passage points us to Jesus Christ, the greater Joshua, who bore the ultimate cost to bring sinners into God’s covenant family. Discover how the gospel equips us to walk in discernment, courage, and grace as we encounter the people God places in our path. Join us as we learn how courageous discernment can transform the way we relate to others and deepen our trust in the Lord.

Courageous Christianity - Courage Against Sin

Part 7 of our 12-part series, Courageous Christianity, takes us to Joshua 7:1–26 in a message titled: “Courage Against Sin." In the aftermath of Israel’s victory at Jericho, a hidden sin in the camp brings devastating defeat and reveals a sobering truth: the greatest battle God’s people face is not merely against enemies around them, but against sin within. Through the story of Achan, Joshua 7 confronts us with the seriousness of sin and the holiness of God. This message explores how sin seeks to hide itself, how it corrupts and affects more than just the individual, and how its ultimate end is death. We are challenged to see sin the way God sees it, to courageously bring it into the light through confession and repentance, and to deal with it seriously rather than allowing it to remain hidden and destructive. But Joshua 7 does not leave us in despair. It points us to the greater hope found in Jesus Christ — the One who was exposed so that we could be covered in righteousness, expelled so that we could be welcomed into God’s presence, and who dealt with sin once and for all through His death and resurrection. Join us as we learn what it means to face sin with honesty, practice courageous repentance, and rest in the grace and victory of the One who makes us righteous before God.

Courageous Christianity - Marching Forward

Part 6 of our 12-part series, Courageous Christianity, takes us to Joshua 6:1–27 in a message titled: “Marching Forward.” As Israel stands before the fortified walls of Jericho, God calls His people to move forward in faith, obedience, and worship, even when His plans do not make human sense. Through the strange march around the city, the sounding of trumpets, and the miraculous fall of Jericho, we see that courageous living is not rooted in human strength, strategy, or accomplishment, but in trusting the presence and promises of God. This message explores the mystery of obedience when we do not fully understand what God is doing, the meaning of centering our lives on worship rather than ourselves, the seriousness of God’s holiness, and the incredible mercy extended to Rahab through faith. In a world where many drift through life without purpose, Joshua 6 reminds us that believers are called to march forward with intention, courage, and confidence in the victory God has already secured. Join us as we learn what it means to walk with purpose, trust God in the unknown, and move forward boldly through the mercy and victory found in Jesus Christ.
