Descripción

In our anxiety-ridden world, Jesus offers a different way forward through Matthew 6:25-34. Rather than dismissing our concerns, Jesus acknowledges legitimate reasons for worry while inviting us to remember two kingdom truths. First, your Heavenly Father is the King of life – you are more valuable than birds He feeds, worry accomplishes nothing, and He clothes the lilies beautifully. Second, as a child of the King, you don’t need to live like those without God as their Father. Instead of seeking worldly solutions, seek first God’s kingdom and trust Him one day at a time.   The post Fighting Anxious Worry [https://lifeconnectionkc.org/sermons/fighting-anxious-worry/] first appeared on LifeConnection Church [https://lifeconnectionkc.org].

episode The Only Begotten Son artwork

The Only Begotten Son

John 1 presents one of the most profound descriptions of Jesus found anywhere in Scripture. He is the eternal Word of God who took on human flesh, fully God and fully man at the same time. He is not a created being but the uncreated Son, of one substance with the Father, who perfectly reveals what God is like. He lived the sinless life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and rose from the grave conquering death. There are only two responses to Jesus: reject Him or receive Him by faith. To receive Him is to turn from sin, trust in His finished work, and be given the right to become a child of God. For those who already follow Him, the call is clear: point others to the real Christ, just as John the Baptist did.   The post The Only Begotten Son [https://lifeconnectionkc.org/sermons/the-only-begotten-son/] first appeared on LifeConnection Church [https://lifeconnectionkc.org].

episode Childlike Traits artwork

Childlike Traits

Faith does not have to be complicated. In Mark 10, Jesus welcomes children who were being turned away by His disciples and declares that the kingdom of God belongs to those who receive it like a child. Childlike faith is marked by five key traits: wonder, confidence, trust, humility, and obedience. These are not signs of immaturity but of a heart that is open, dependent, and fully surrendered to God. Just as Jesus took the children in His arms and blessed them, He invites each of us to come to Him the same way. Through faith in Christ, we are transferred out of darkness and into His kingdom right now. The invitation is simple and it is open to anyone willing to receive it.   The post Childlike Traits [https://lifeconnectionkc.org/sermons/childlike-traits/] first appeared on LifeConnection Church [https://lifeconnectionkc.org].

episode We Believe… artwork

We Believe…

Our culture tells us to find our own truth and invent ourselves, but that pressure is exhausting and unsustainable. The book of Jude calls believers to contend for a faith that was not invented but delivered, passed down from the apostles and rooted in God Himself. False teachers have always crept into the church, twisting grace into license and rejecting the authority of Jesus as Master and Lord. The answer is not louder arguments but faithful living. When we submit to the Word of God and walk under the reign of Jesus, we become a counterculture that offers something the world desperately needs. Jesus is not a demanding Master who gives nothing in return. He is the One who gave His life so that we could receive life through Him. Resting in the truth He has already delivered is not a constraint. It is freedom.   The post We Believe… [https://lifeconnectionkc.org/sermons/we-believe/] first appeared on LifeConnection Church [https://lifeconnectionkc.org].

episode Building your Life on Jesus artwork

Building your Life on Jesus

Jesus concludes the Sermon on the Mount with urgent warnings about false teachers and a crucial question about life’s foundation. He warns believers to recognize false prophets by their fruit, emphasizing that knowing God’s Word deeply helps identify counterfeit teaching. Jesus reveals that saying the right words isn’t enough – true faith requires genuine heart transformation, not just external actions. He presents two builders: one wise who builds on rock, one foolish who builds on sand. When life’s storms come, only the foundation built on Jesus and His teachings will stand. Everything else – career, relationships, wealth, health – can be swept away. The choice is urgent: will you build your life on the temporary things of this world or on the eternal, unshakeable foundation of Christ? episode A Clear Vision of God’s Goodness artwork

A Clear Vision of God’s Goodness

Many Christians struggle with confidence in prayer, wondering if God truly hears and cares about their specific needs. Jesus addresses this by teaching us to ask, seek, and knock persistently, using the illustration of earthly fathers who give good gifts to their children. If imperfect human fathers delight in blessing their children, how much more does our perfect heavenly Father want to give good things to His children? The cross of Jesus serves as the ultimate proof of God’s goodness and love. Prayer isn’t about informing God of our needs but learning to live in loving dependence upon a Father who delights to help His children walk the narrow path of discipleship.   The post A Clear Vision of God’s Goodness [https://lifeconnectionkc.org/sermons/a-clear-vision-of-gods-goodness/] first appeared on LifeConnection Church [https://lifeconnectionkc.org].
