Descripción

Episode 55: What’s more dangerous than a serial killer? A serial killer with an FBI badge in his pocket. Scott Lee Kimball was a master manipulator who convinced the feds he was their best asset, even as he was murdering the very people he was supposed to be 'informing' on. We’re peeling back the layers on how the Bureau got conned by 1 man—and the four victims who paid the price for their mistake. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE AUDIO IN THIS ONE. WE HAD TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES AND ONE MIC BROKE. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Lee_Kimball https://www.foxnews.com/us/serial-killer-fbi-informant-tricked-feds-for-years-while-preying-on-victims-former-agent https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Wales https://magazine.atavist.com/2021/the-snitch-fbi-scott-kimball-informant-killer-colorado

Hate Crime | The Murder of Angie Zapata

Episode 59: Angie Zapata was an 18-year-old transgender woman living in Greeley, Colorado. In July 2008, Zapata met 31-year-old Allen Ray Andrade through an online social networking site. The two went on a date and spent nearly three days together at Zapata's apartment. After finding photographs that made him question her sex, Andrade confronted Zapata and beat her with his fists and a fire extinguisher, continuing the assault even after realizing she was still breathing. He stole her car and fled the scene. Her sister discovered her body on July 17, 2008. The murder of Angie Zapata is a landmark 2008 legal case that resulted in the first-ever conviction of a hate crime involving a transgender victim in the United States. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_James_Byrd_Jr. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard_and_James_Byrd_Jr._Hate_Crimes_Prevention_Act https://glaad.org/our-work/ https://storycorps.org/stories/memories-of-a-sister-and-daughter-murdered-in-a-transgender-hate-crime/ https://glaad.org/publications/angiezapata/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su-RHry--W8 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Angie_Zapata
