Making with Machines
In the fourth episode of Making with Machines we discuss open hardware design with Jens Dyvik. Jens is an independent designer and FabLab founder based in Oslo, Norway. In the conversation we discuss the process of making open hardware design and what difficulties might arise, what it takes to open your own FabLab, and the three levels of using digital fabrication machines. Jens studied design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. He did an internship at the then newly opened WAAG FabLab in Amsterdam which inspired him to go on a two year world tour visiting FabLabs all around the globe. After his travels, Jens settled in Oslo where he co-founded the Fellesverkstedet FabLab and started working as an Independent Designer developing recipes for open hardware machines.
