Map Your Mom Brain I Parenting Tips, Planning, Organizing, Systems, Routines, Mom Life, Connection
An Interview with My 10-Year-Old — Her Advice to Parents It's Take Your Kid to Work Day — and Ivy came to the podcast. My daughter is 10, funny, and a little wiser than she realizes. So I sat her down and asked her the kinds of questions we don't always think to ask our kids: What makes our home feel good? What do you actually need when you're upset? What would you tell moms about how to talk to their kids? Her answers are cute, honest, and honestly? Kind of spot on. We talk about what it's like to grow up in a home where kids are expected to pitch in, what she needs after a hard day (it's not advice, mamas), why play actually matters, and what she'd put on The Road Map for parents who want a happier home. It's a fun episode — and a good reminder that our kids notice more than we think. Did something Ivy said resonate with you? I'd love to hear it.
