She Hulk and Ally McBeal

The journey through law comedies continues as Blake, Terrence and Jamie pair up episode five of She Hulk with Ally McBeal.  A show that changed the landscape with new types of comedy with cutaways and visual gags and placing strong dramatic moments in too.  It started of some of the humor that would shape shows like Scrubs, The Office and Abbott Elementary and brought us a strong female lead.  It also synchs perfectly with She Hulk as we see both Ally and Jen dealing with loving themselves before loving others, choosing their peace and emerging with quirky comedy and powerful moments.

She Hulk Episode Four and Adam's Rib

Blake, Jamie and Terrence return to their mini series exploring She Hulk and law comedies in TV and Film.  This week we discuss Adam's Rib, the classic law comedy where in a married couple find themselves on opposite ends of a case.  We discuss how the themes in the movie dealing parallel She Hulk, by discussing how the law changes, what is right versus what is written and feminism.  The comedy also shines through in both the absurd and the sharp comedic beats.  Leave a review and share!

She Hulk Episode Three and Night Court

Blake, Jamie and Terrence continue their She Hulk mini-series examining the history of law satire in film and television with episode three and Night Court!  The third episode brought us a lot of the sitcom style comedy we had been wanting, a fun post credit scene and intrigue to the future of the series.  We pair it up with Night Court NBC's nine season legal sitcom that is truly the underdog of their Thursday night line up.  Enjoy!

Blake, Terrence and Jamie continue their look at legal satire with Legally Blonde.  The movie pairs with She Hulk's second episode as we deal with themes of wondering why you got a certain job, proving yourself, and awesome confident lead women.  The show is hitting its stride in this episode and we can't wait for more!

She Hulk has landed in the MCU, the super hero law comedy's pilot is full of heart, humor and a lot of potential for the future!  Blake, Jamie and Terrence continue their Marvel Pair Up series discussing their reactions to the episode and taking a look at the law comedy movie and television genre; how others have successfully parodied law in the past and how they are influencing the MCU.  The first episode looks at how My Cousin Vinny twisted the genre and the thematic similarities we are seeing in the She Hulk series.
