Descripción

May 24, 2026 ~ At the heart of The War Memorial is a deep commitment to honoring those who have served. Through year-round patriotic programming, commemorations, and gatherings, creating meaningful opportunities to recognize service, preserve history, and foster connection among veterans, their families, and the wider public. War Memorial spokesperson Alex Szwarc joins Michigan Voices After serving more than a decade in the U.S. Navy, Robert McCarty knew he wanted a career centered on helping others. His experience as an Aviation Rescue Swimmer — which included intensive medical training for water rescue operations — ultimately inspired him to pursue nursing. McCarty, a registered nurse at Henry Ford St. John Hospital, said many aspects of the job mirror his time in the military. McCarty joins Michigan Voices. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
