Our Guest: Arun Chetty Arun did his Masters in Chemical Engineering at MIT, after which he worked in various technical roles at Brookhaven National Labs and DuPont. He then pursued an MBA from University of Michigan's Ross School and joined Intel Corporation in their Operations Finance group, first as an Analyst and rose to become a Controller. He then spent 5 years as Director in Intel's Mergers & Acquisitions group. For the last 16 years, Arun has been in Intel's Venture Capital group, where he is now a Managing Director. Intel Capital is one of the largest technology-focused venture capital funds, and Arun's role is to identify investments in leading edge technology startups and help those startups with their strategy and growth plans. Our Guest: Kanna Brown Kanna was an attorney in private practice for almost 15 years working in small business start-ups, contract negotiations, international law, estate planning and family law. Simultaneously for nearly seven years, Kanna served as Program Director and Instructor for the Paralegal Studies Program at Sanford-Brown. In 2009, she started in public service working for the US Air Force as a contract specialist and then as a contracting officer responsible for negotiating development and production contracts for major satellites, radars, and defense plane systems. Recently, she helped to form a small team of multifunctional experts from Program Management, Contracting, Logistics, Science/Engineering and Attorneys who are tasked with assisting the Air Force in handling Intellectual Property issues in a much smarter way that will allow for innovation, speed and cost savings. Krishnan completed his under graduation in medicine at Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He did his Masters in Ophthalmology at J J M Medical College, Davangare, Karnataka. Krishnan did his fellowship in Glaucoma and became a consultant in Glaucoma service. He has had many national and international paper presentations and scientific publications to his credit which added more feathers to his cap. Dr. Krishnan keen on serving the underprivileged, started Frontline Eye Hospital at Alwarpet, and simultaneously two satellite centres at Ambattur and Karaikudi in 1994 beginning his mission to save the vision of millions of people. Krishnan’s contributions in Ophthalmology have saved several lives through his monthly free eye camps, free medical and surgical camps in rural and tribal areas, vision screening which covered more than a lakh of school children, eye camps for special children.
