Medical Tattooing

I had the pleasure of chatting with Niki from ProCosmediq, a medical tattooist. Niki specialises in creating the illusion of a nipple and areola shading for women and men following mastectomy. Whilst our bodies can withstand a lot, the link between our physical and mental perceptions of self cannot be ignored, and Niki's expertise allows people to find themselves feeling whole again in what is for many quite a traumatic experience. Dr Cindy Mak

Today I am thrilled to be joined by a total boss lady, Dr Cindy Mak. Cindy is my breast surgeon, and has been an instrumental part of my breast cancer journey. Now when I say she’s a total boss I mean it – she is the head of department for Breast Surgery at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse here in Sydney, she’s part of the team at The Mater, she works closely with the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation to raise valuable funds for patient care, medical equipment and education and uses her voice where it counts to speak about women’s health and breast cancer alike.   Join me on Instagram @ohitscancer
