He grew up in a town where spies, Nazis, Russians, the military, and the mob all intersected. His uncle had connections to Nazis and Operation Paperclip, while his father was a low-ranking member of the mob. Although his Catholic mother came from a loving Italian family, she placed him in an Episcopal church where he says he became part of Project Artichoke. For years, he struggled to understand the fragments of his past. When he finally confronted his mother as an adult about the sexual abuse he endured, her response was one of anger, telling him never to speak of it again. This interview follows Anonymous Italian as he pieces together a life filled with secrets, trauma, and unanswered questions.
