The "Behind the White Coat" series continues with a faculty interview with Dr. Christina Henson from the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Henson is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist at OU Health. She is the Radiation Oncology Interim Chair. She’s an Associate Professor, Executive Vice Chair, and the Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Henson is also a co-director of the Stephenson Cancer Center Breast Program, chair of the Head & Neck Clinical Research Disease Site Group, and a key contributor to the NRG Oncology Head and Neck Committee. Dr. Christina Henson shares her journey to becoming a Radiation Oncologist, detailing what inspired her to pursue the field and what she finds most fulfilling about his work. In this episode, she describes her responsibilities within the specialty and the biggest challenges she faces in this field.
