That He should give His only Son, To make a wretch His treasure.” On this Father’s day, we take time to reflect upon the blessing we have of the true and perfect Father who knows us, loves us, and cares for us. We give thanks for those who have filled this earthly role in our lives, and pray that God would continue to encourage and support these men in following their call, that the next generation would ultimately be able to confess “Jesus is Lord!”

"Summer of Psalms: Unity Dwellers" (Psalm 133)

Have you ever been in a situation where you found yourself amongst strangers, tasked with becoming a team? Usually, it starts off slowly, but at some point, probably due to a shared goal or objective, strangers become teammates and unity forms. Unfortunately, once the objective is complete, that unity often breaks down. As Christians, we are called to dwell together in unity. Because of our shared Savior, our unity in His name will be able to last forever!

Sing to the Lord a Joyful Noise! This summer, we will spend some time in the hymnbook of God, the Psalms! Psalm 91 reminds us that with God, we have an ever-present shelter in our time of need. This is important because life has more than its fair share of storms, but with God, we will always have a ledge of protection to stand under. For that reason, we lift up His powerful name in praise and adoration. “During Life's Storms, God Is Our Refuge!”

"Trinity Sunday: Father, Son and Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:16-20)

“God in three persons, blessed trinity.” Have you ever felt like God was more mystery than revelation? The eternal, immortal, invisible, only God is beyond our understanding. In fact, we are helpless to know Him on our own. Thankfully, He chooses to reveal Himself to us. He does this through what we call the doctrine of the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, three persons. This Trinity Sunday, we, as a Church, confess this revealed truth and together praise His wonderful name.

Are you the kind of person who counts down the days until their birthday? It is fun to celebrate the beginning of something special, whether it be a life, a relationship, or even a Church. Today is Pentecost Sunday, the day that some might call the birthday of the Christian Church. And the best part of birthdays is not the cake, but the gifts. At Pentecost, the Church was given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let's celebrate our shared gift of faith on this special day.
