Descripción

Jesus Still Prays for Believers: John 17, Christ's Intercession, and the Model of Prayer In this biblical message from John 17, discover how Jesus Christ's High Priestly Prayer reveals that He still prays for every true believer. Learn how Jesus prayed for His own glory, for His disciples' protection and sanctification, for future believers' unity, and for the believer's ultimate perfection in His presence. This teaching explains Christ's ongoing intercession, the meaning of justification and sanctification, and why Jesus alone is our Great High Priest and perfect mediator before the Father. And then learn what Jesus taught as the model of prayer for when you pray. Whenever we come to God in prayer, we must be sure there is no unconfessed sin. Unconfessed sin blocks out communication with God and blocks our ability to receive what God has in store for us. So before we ask anything in God's name, we must ask forgiveness of our sins and be willing to repent (turn away from) our sins, not continuing in the same repetition of those sins. Proverbs 28:9 says, "He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination." Psalm 66:18 - "If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear…" John 9:31 - "We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him." God delights in forgiving sinners, and He even saved the chief of sinners, the Apostle Paul. God is the God of second chances and a new start: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (John 1:1:9).

episode Why Is the Name of Jesus So Divisive? artwork

Why Is the Name of Jesus So Divisive?

Why does the name of Jesus Christ divide people so deeply? Pastor John Haggard explains why Jesus confronts sin, demands allegiance, and offers salvation. Why does the simple mention of the name Jesus Christ stir such strong reactions? In this episode, learn why no name divides people like the name of Jesus. When Jesus walked the earth, He divided crowds, families, religious leaders, political powers, and ordinary people. He still does today. Jesus is gentle, kind, merciful, and peaceful, but He also spoke plainly about truth, sin, repentance, judgment, and salvation. In Matthew 10:34–36, Jesus said He did not come to bring peace on the earth, but a sword. He was not speaking of a literal sword, but of the division that often comes between those who receive Him and those who reject Him. This message looks at John 7, where the crowd was divided over the identity of Jesus. Some believed He was the Prophet. Others said He was the Christ. Still others rejected Him. That same division continues because Jesus is not merely one religious leader among many. He presses every person toward a verdict. You will also hear why Jesus came to earth as fully God and fully man, why sin must be paid for, and why Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The name of Jesus divides because He confronts the natural human desire for self-rule. The unbelieving heart wants forgiveness without repentance, comfort without conviction, heaven without holiness, and the benefits of God without bowing before God. Jesus does not allow that. This is not an easy message, but it is a necessary one. Jesus divides light from darkness, truth from error, belief from unbelief, repentance from self-justification, and eternal life from eternal judgment. The division caused by Christ is not a failure of the Gospel. It is proof that the Gospel is doing what God intended. Read more by clicking here [https://treasuretop.com/why-jesus-is-so-divisive/]. episode What the Bible Says About Denying Jesus Christ artwork

What the Bible Says About Denying Jesus Christ

What happens when someone denies Jesus Christ? In this message, Pastor John Haggard at Treasure Top Ministries explains why rejecting Christ is not a small spiritual decision, but a matter of eternal consequence. Reciting Matthew 10:32–33, 2 Timothy 2:12, 1 John 2:22–23, John 3:18, Romans 10:9, Romans 6:23, and Matthew 25:46, this episode shows the biblical difference between confessing Jesus as Lord and denying Him before men. The Bible teaches that those who reject the Son do not have the Father, and that unbelief leaves a person under judgment unless he or she repents and trusts in Jesus Christ. This message also addresses Peter's denial of Christ and explains the difference between a moment of weakness followed by repentance and a settled, final rejection of Jesus. The door of mercy remains open while a person is still alive, but Scripture gives no promise of a second chance after physical death. If you are asking, "What does it mean to deny Jesus?" "Can someone reject Christ and still know God?" or "What does the Bible say about eternal judgment?" this episode gives a clear biblical answer and calls every listener to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 2 Questions Many Ask * Am I Truly Saved? episode The Three Deaths Every Christian Must Embrace to Truly Live artwork

The Three Deaths Every Christian Must Embrace to Truly Live

What does Jesus really mean when He says we must lose our life to find it? In this message, Pastor John at Treasure Top unpacks three things every follower of Christ must die TO so they can truly die FOR the one thing that matters — Jesus Christ Himself. This is the radical call of Christian discipleship: a complete reordering of allegiance that leads from self-destruction to abundant, eternal life. In this episode you'll discover: * Die to Self — Why a life centered on your own comfort, reputation, and ambition will ultimately destroy the very life you're trying to protect (Matthew 16:24-25) * Die to the Flesh — How to walk in the character of Christ instead of chasing what feels good in the moment, and why making "no provision for the flesh" is essential to genuine faith (Romans 13:13-14; Matthew 5:27-28) * Die to the World — Why gaining everything this world offers is worthless if you forfeit your soul, and how to start valuing what God values (Matthew 16:26) "When we come to the end of self, we come to the beginning of Christ." - Charles Spurgeon God uses seasons of brokenness (job loss, bankruptcy, addiction, sickness, divorce) to become the very moments He uses to draw us into a life of surrender. The episode closes with an invitation to anyone feeling the stirring of the Holy Spirit. Drawing from John 16:8 and the Greek word for "convict" (elencho), Pastor John explains how the Holy Spirit works as a prosecuting attorney to expose sin and draw hearts to Christ — and how you can respond by repenting of your sins, asking forgiveness for your sins, and inviting Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. 2 Questions Many Ask * Am I Truly Saved? episode Does Jesus Pray for Anyone Now? artwork

Does Jesus Pray for Anyone Now?

Jesus Christ prays for all true believers. In this message, Pastor John Haggard explains the powerful truth of John 17 and Hebrews 7:25: Jesus always lives to make intercession for those who belong to Him. This episode explores the saving work of God through the Holy Spirit, including conviction, illumination, regeneration, and sanctification. You will hear why no one can come to Christ unless the Father draws him, why salvation is by grace through faith and not by works, and why true believers cannot lose their salvation. Pastor John also explains the difference between the natural man and the spiritual man, why all people are born under sin because of Adam's fall, and why Jesus Christ alone is the perfect sacrifice for sinners. If the Holy Spirit is drawing your heart, do not delay. Today is the day to call on Christ as Lord and Savior. 2 Questions Many Ask * Am I Truly Saved? episode Why Easter Is The Most Significant Event in History artwork

Why Easter Is The Most Significant Event in History

This message explains why Easter is the most significant event in history by presenting three biblical reasons: the resurrection of Jesus Christ guarantees the future resurrection and eternal life of believers, confirms the saving work accomplished at the cross, and completes the process of atonement through Christ's righteousness being credited to those who trust in Him. The message also explains the seriousness of unbelief, the necessity of the Holy Spirit for spiritual understanding, and the urgency of responding to Christ in repentance and faith. It closes with a strong warning about the importance of attending a Bible-based, expository preaching church that faithfully teaches God's Word rather than substituting entertainment, personality, or emotionalism for the truth of the gospel.
