Kristal left behind her phone, purse, laptop, and medication in her locked apartment with no signs of struggle. Days earlier she had told multiple people she had been drugged and raped. Her daily calls to her young daughter suddenly stopped. Some locals claimed they saw her at a full moon drum circle after she was last confirmed seen… but investigators believe foul play was involved. In 2018 authorities officially treated her case as a homicide investigation. Then in August 2025, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation conducted a targeted K-9 search with human remains detection dogs in a specific location believed connected to the case.
