Episode 15: South Park

Here we cover the show "South Park," Season 14 Episode 1 titled "Sexual Healing." In this episode, Kenny, Kyle & Butters and diagnosed with Sex Addiction. We also see celebrities such as Tiger Woods who have had their sexual scandals exposed to the public eye. We chose this episode in order to cover the topic of Sex Addiction. Sex Addiction is not an official diagnosis, and as two Sex Therapists, we do not work from an addiction model and we explain why as we discuss the show. Episode 14: Shrinking

In today’s episode, we cover the Apple TV show “Shrinking,” which follows a grieving therapist, Jimmy, who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives, including his own.   We discuss what is clearly unethical in Jimmy’s approach, as well as the dynamic he has between his coworkers, friends, and daughter.
