Descripción

Casey always felt different .. long before the substances, long before the labels. For years, she was stuck in a cycle of substance use she couldn’t break, no matter how hard she tried. Methadone kept her alive for five years, but it wasn’t the full answer. What she really needed was something she had been fighting for all along: a proper psychological evaluation. Once Casey was finally diagnosed with autism and ADHD, everything shifted. What had looked like “failure,” “relapse,” or “lack of willpower” suddenly made sense. With the right understanding and support, she was able to taper off methadone, reclaim her autonomy and rebuild her future. Today, Casey is five months away from graduating nursing school and becoming an RN. This is a short but powerful story about misdiagnosis, survival, harm reduction, and what becomes possible when people are actually listened to.

Conditioned to Silence

You think prison just takes your freedom? Try your voice. Your softness. Your sleep. Your ability to cry when it hurts. This episode is a soul deep, psychologically layered breakdown of what really happens when we cage human beings. It’s about what they take and what you forget how to give yourself back. You’ll hear: • Why survival inside rewires your brain and nervous system • How reentry strips you bare all over again • What post-incarceration syndrome really looks like • Why coming home is not the end it’s another war • The trauma of silence, and what it costs to speak again This isn’t just about prison. It’s about what happens when institutions profit from obedience and condition you to stay quiet, even when you make it out. “They took my voice so slowly, I didn’t even notice it was gone.”

They Let Us Share a Bed (Season Finale)

In rehab, no one taught Gabbi what real love was but they didn’t stop her from falling into it either. The treatment center allowed her and her boyfriend to share a room, a bed, and a fragile dream of a life after addiction. But boundaries weren’t the only thing missing. No real therapy. No recovery plan. No safety net. Just two wounded people clinging to each other inside a system that profits from relapse.. Gabbi became pregnant. He relapsed. And one night, while she slept in their Airbnb, he locked himself in the bathroom and never came out. He never got to meet his son. And Gabbi was left to carry not only her grief, but the silence of an industry that never cared. This season finale is about love, loss, and the devastating cost of a broken system.
