S2 E15: On Nurture with Camille Dungy

What does it mean to be a nurturer? How do we create diverse communities? In today’s episode we sit down with Camille Dungy to discuss her newest work, America, A Love Story in addition to her memoir Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden. Camille is a University Distinguished Professor at Colorado State University. Dungy’s honors include the Academy of American Poets Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, an American Book Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts in both prose and poetry. We deeply enjoyed hearing Camille speak to her identity as a nurturer in various roles throughout her life as well as the ritual of poetry.  Head to our Patreon for the impactful bonus section where Camille shares about her experience living in Fort Collins, Colorado, what questions she would most like to ask an ancestor and more!
