for these are the things Jesus taught

“Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught.” When put into words this simple, we can understand what it means to be like Jesus, and maybe it isn't as hard as we think.

John 11 is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead and we explore a few of these verses. This passage shows not only the power that the Lord has, but also his ultimate love for us. Verse 35 is known for being the shortest in all of scripture, Jesus wept, but we learn so much from the surrounding verses that then gives this verse a whole other meaning. The Lord weeps with us. We can truly, "behold how he loves us!"
