Sparkle Up Your Life Podcast
There are moments in life when things just happen. They are unexpected, often inconvenient and frustrating. And your first reaction: “Why is this happening TO ME?” But often… there’s no immediate answer to that question. There is no clear reason, nothing that is clearly staring you in the eyes, or that makes it feel worth it in that moment. That’s where most people label those events as bad, unfair or even pointless. For your sparkled-up life, though, there’s another way to look at it. What if meaning is not something you find, but something you decide? Because the same situation can stay frustrating, or it can become useful if you define a so-called silver lining for it. Instead of trying to reason and change the situation, you change your interpretation of it. Sometimes, it’s only later that you see that silver lining. How something that felt unnecessary suddenly becomes exactly what you needed. This can be true for conversations, experience, or even an object you once thought was useless… finding its place at the right moment. Suddenly, it just makes sense. The thing that can truly help you design that sparkling version of your life is that you do not have to wait for that moment in the future; you can start asking earlier: “How can this serve me?”“What can I take from this?”“What is the value here… even if it’s not obvious yet?” The moment you ask yourself those questions, you move from being passive in your life to being creative in it. You stop waiting for things to make sense, and you start making them make sense. This doesn’t mean ignoring what’s difficult. It also doesn’t mean pretending everything is positive. It simply means choosing a perspective that gives you power. Because there will always be things you can’t control, whether it's situations, people, or timing. But what you can control is how you interpret them. That is your power that changes your energy and decisions, and, with that, your next step. So instead of asking “Why is this happening to me?” reframe this question into “What could this mean for me?”“How can I use this… instead of fighting it?”“And what would change if I chose to see this differently?” Your life doesn’t become meaningful when everything goes your way, but it does get on the right track to your sparkled-up life when you decide what things mean.
