Isaiah 58 lists out key elements or protocols for fasting, one of them being giving to the poor and considering the least of these. Reevaluate how you fast and make sure you are not missing this important element when you fast, it might be why you have yet to see any breakthrough.

True Fasting

Welcome back to the spirit Over Flesh Podcast! I asked God to show me exactly what it meant to live spirit over flesh and He told me to fast. But not like the fast I had previously done, a fast true genuine fast as described in Isaiah 58. It has completely changed my life for the better. In this second season I’ll go into great detail of my accounts with fasting and the revelations I received during them that transformed my life. Stay tuned!

Understanding this, makes it easy

Understanding our identity in Jesus Christ is a must for us to understand who we are & how we are supposed to operate in this world. We have been given authority but we don’t exercise it. The war between the spirit and the flesh is not just a battle against the lust & pleasures of this world but it is against our stinking thinking. The mindset of man sees nothing but impossibilities, but with the mind of Christ nothing is impossible because there is nothing too hard for God. We need to learn what God’s word says, believe it, & stand on it. Standing on what you think makes life is hard. Standing on what God’s word says, life can really be easy for us. Take Matthew 11:28-30 and stand on it, believe it, & walk in it.
