Surf Report for Jacksonville Florida
Good morning! Here's your surf zone forecast for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia this Saturday through Wednesday. Starting with today, expect small one to two foot waves across the beaches, perfect for wading rather than surfing. A moderate risk of rip currents is in effect for the Northeast Florida beaches including Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Fernandina, so keep a close eye on the water if you venture in. The Georgia beaches are seeing a lower rip current threat, though swimmers should still exercise caution near any groins or jetties. The water temperature is a pleasant seventy-seven to eighty-two degrees, making for comfortable swimming conditions. Mostly sunny skies are expected this morning, but don't let that fool you. A moderate thunderstorm potential means afternoon showers and storms could pop up, especially around two o'clock. The UV index is cranking up to extreme levels, so sunscreen is absolutely essential if you're spending time outside. Highs will reach the lower nineties, but the heat index could climb to one hundred six in Northeast Florida and up to one hundred nine down in the Georgia zone. Winds will start light from the west before shifting southeast in the afternoon. Moving into Sunday, conditions remain fairly consistent. We're still looking at one to two foot surf with moderate rip currents continuing for Northeast Florida. Partly sunny skies give way to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs again in the lower nineties with heat indices peaking at one hundred seven in Northeast Florida and an impressive one hundred ten near Brunswick and St. Simons. Southwest winds will be light, around five to ten miles per hour. As we head into the extended period Monday through Wednesday, expect more of the same summer pattern. Showers and thunderstorms remain likely each day as the heat and humidity continue to build. Surf stays small at one to two feet throughout. Temperatures begin easing slightly Tuesday and Wednesday, dropping into the upper eighties and mid eighties respectively. Winds will remain light from the southwest. If you're heading to the beach this weekend, stay hydrated, protect that skin from the intense UV, and be aware of rip currents, especially in Northeast Florida. The water looks inviting, but Mother Nature's throwing heat and afternoon storms into the mix. Stay safe out there! For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
