Introduction and Non-Negotiables for Educators

Welcome to Teaching with Mr. Bop — a podcast for educators, especially those who showed up to the classroom without a roadmap. I'm Mr. Bop: former teacher, instructional coach, and current MTSS coordinator with over a decade in Title 1 schools. This podcast exists because the teachers working in the buildings with the greatest need deserve real, practical support. Just honest conversation about what actually works. In this first episode, I introduce myself, share why I started this podcast, and lay out what I believe are the non-negotiables for any educator — the foundation everything else is built on: * Belief — in every student, unconditionally * Resilience — because this work will test you * Creative Problem Solving — because the resources won't always be there, but the need will be * Purpose — knowing why you're here and letting it drive you If you're a new teacher, a veteran looking to reconnect with your why, or just someone who cares about doing this work well — this one's for you.
