Two new studies suggest these models are getting much better at reflecting how real tumors behave, and in some cases they may reveal that patients could benefit from drugs they would not normally be offered. Another advance kept part of the tumor's immune environment intact, which matters because immune cells can make or break a treatment response. Story 6 And on Wall Street, the mood around AI is cooling a little. Nvidia briefly lost its title as the world's most valuable company to Apple, not because Apple surged, but because investors trimmed their enthusiasm for AI-linked stocks. The question now is whether all the money pouring into chips, data centers, and infrastructure will produce profits fast enough to justify the hype. If big spenders like Microsoft, Alphabet, or Meta start slowing their investment plans, markets may take that as a sign the AI boom is entering a more skeptical phase. Story 7 Turning to geopolitics, the Houthis in Yemen say they are imposing an immediate maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia by targeting ships carrying Saudi exports through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Saudi Arabia has condemned the move and says it will protect its shipping. This matters well beyond the region because the Bab el-Mandeb is a critical route for oil and commercial traffic, and it has become even more important with disruption elsewhere in the Gulf. Any sustained threat there could hit shipping costs, energy markets, and already fragile regional security.
