Rob and his 13-year-old daughter Claire love Halloween, and this year, when the father wins tickets to the famous haunted McKinley Manor, the pair is stoked. The only problem now is finding their way out... Listening to positive affirmations while you sleep is said to reprogram your subconscious, thus improving your outlook on life and eventually the whole world around you. Sounds amazing, so long as you are aware of exactly what your affirmations are saying at night...

Meditation is an amazing practice that, when developed correctly, can help you in all aspects of your life. Mindfulness has been known to improve health, focus, and in some cases, even lead people into channeling higher beings. It is for the latter, specifically, that this story serves to warn anyone who might attempt such methods of contact... Be careful who you're talking to!

Jerome has a little trouble with some of his office coworkers, especially Aaron. Needing to blow off a little steam, he figures no harm can come from playing a little practical joke at the upcoming potluck. Practical jokes are innocent enough, right? Alex Zimmer failed to become a lawyer, opting to chase his dreams of being a writer. After landing a job reporting on personal injury accidents, his parents are filled with disappointment. But Alex is determined to make his parents proud, no matter what the cost.

"My Neighbors Like it Cold" | "Nickel-Wound"

In our first story, we meet Derek, a man currently serving time. He shares the details of what should have been an average move into a nice rural duplex, but turned sinister once he met his elderly neighbors, a deceptively sweet religious couple, Harold and Ruth Peterson. Our second tale introduces us to a struggling musician who, while moping about his latest stage performance, finds a magical talisman in the forest. But after attempting to use the object to make a wish, he soon regrets ever finding it. Both stories are written, performed, and produced by Bill Mullane. They were originally released as part of the "A Brothers' Macabre" series in October 2024.
