Identity and Worth Series - Here I Am

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2448924/open_sms] How many times have you said, “I’m fine,” when you weren’t? How many times have you swallowed your truth to keep the peace, built walls so high even love couldn’t climb them, and called that peace when really — it was protection? In this episode of The Bold Frequency, we’re stripping it all down to the bone. This isn’t about polished healing or pretending we’ve got it all together. This is about the messy middle — the part where being “strong” turns into isolation, and vulnerability feels like the scariest thing in the world. I open up about what it truly means to stop hiding behind “I’m fine” and finally say, “Here I am.” I explore how vulnerability can feel like weakness — especially for Black women who were taught to be unbreakable — but how it’s actually the foundation of real confidence, connection, and wholeness. Vulnerability is a risk — but it’s also a revolution.  It’s the decision to show up fully as yourself even when you’re scared. It’s saying, “This is me — all of me — the parts I’ve hidden, the parts that ache, the parts that shine.” It’s reclaiming the right to be soft, open, emotional, and free. “Here I Am” is a call to courage. It’s an invitation to let your guard down, even just a little. Because the truth is, confidence doesn’t come from how hard you can hold it together — it comes from how willing you are to stand in your truth when your voice shakes. So if you’ve been living behind “I’m fine,” this episode is for you.  If you’ve ever been told you’re “too emotional” or “too sensitive,” this is your reminder that sensitivity is not a flaw — it’s your superpower.  If you’re ready to start showing up as your whole self — flaws, fears, faith, and all — then it’s time to say it out loud: “Here I am.” Tune in to The Bold Frequency and join a community of women learning to live boldly, love deeply, and embrace their confidence — one vulnerable moment at a time.

Identity and Worth series - Who Are You Without the Labels

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2448924/open_sms] This episode is for the woman who’s tired of shrinking. Tired of performing. Tired of not knowing who she is when the room is empty. Because once you know who you are-you stop entertaining people who don’t. If tomorrow every title you’ve ever had disappeared--who would be left? Not a mother. Not a wife. Not a friend. Not a manager. Just you. In this episode of The Bold Frequency, we’re getting all the way real. You’ve been so busy being everything for everyone else that you haven’t stopped to ask, Who am I outside of the roles I play? We’re unpacking the three pillars that make up your true identity: your values, your beliefs, and your personal interests. It’s time to separate who you are from what you’ve been assigned.  This episode is your invitation to pause and reflect:  Who are you really, without the labels?  What do you stand for when no one’s watching?  What do you value enough to protect with your boundaries?  Let’s talk about values. I didn’t even know what values were at first. I had to look it up. No one in my life ever sat me down and explained it in a way that made sense. So, if you're in that same boat—this one’s for you.  Values are the ideals and beliefs that guide our attitudes, actions, and choices. They help us determine what’s truly important. And without them? You can’t build boundaries. You can’t set standards. And you definitely can’t live confidently. Values are poured into us as children - by parents, communities, schools, culture. But here’s the thing: if your parents didn’t have many values, they couldn’t pour them into you. That means you’ve got to be intentional about defining your own. Some values we adopt, some we outgrow. Over time, those become our core values—the ones that shape our identity and guide every decision we make. So, I want you to really sit with this:  What are your core values?  What beliefs are still guiding you - and are they still serving you?  What lights you up? What are your interests outside of who you serve or take care of? You deserve to know yourself deeply. And you can’t step into your power until you do. The world doesn’t need more people playing roles. It needs more women who are rooted in who they are - unapologetically. This episode will challenge you to dig deeper. To take inventory of your soul. To build your life on a foundation of who you truly are, not who others expect you to be. You are not your titles. You are not just what you do. You are valuable because you exist. Let’s rebuild your identity from the inside out.  Tune in to The Bold Frequency and join a community of women learning to live boldly, love deeply, and embrace their confidence — one vulnerable moment at a time.

Healing Journey – Phase 6: The Promise to Yourself

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2448924/open_sms] You’ve set goals, made plans, and even taken a few steps forward—but then life happens. You lose momentum, start making excuses, and before you know it, you're waiting for the "right time" to start again. Sound familiar? In this episode of The Bold Frequency, we’re tackling the real reason so many of us stay stuck: not a lack of motivation, but a lack of commitment. Motivation is unreliable—it comes and goes. But commitment? That’s what separates people who dream from people who do. This isn’t just about fitness or career goals—this is about your life. Your relationships, your self-worth, your dreams. Commitment isn’t just about getting results; it’s about becoming the kind of person who follows through. So, if you’re tired of feeling stuck, tired of making excuses, and ready to become the version of yourself that doesn’t quit, this episode is for you. It’s time to stop waiting and start committing—to yourself, your future, and the life you deserve. Tune in to The Bold Frequency and join a community of women learning to live boldly, love deeply, and embrace their confidence — one vulnerable moment at a time.

Healing Journey – Phase 5: Love Your Own Company

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2448924/open_sms] Why does being alone feel so uncomfortable for so many of us? We fill our time with distractions—endless scrolling, binge-watching TV, surrounding ourselves with people who don’t pour into us—just to avoid sitting in our own presence. But here’s the truth: when you don’t know how to be alone, you end up settling. Settling for people who don’t respect you. Settling for relationships that drain you. Settling for situations that don’t align with your worth. In this episode of The Bold Frequency, we’re diving deep into what it really means to love your own company. Because being alone isn’t a punishment—it’s an opportunity. It’s the space where you heal, grow, and build confidence in yourself without needing outside validation. Why We Struggle to Be Alone A lot of us keep ourselves busy so we don’t have to deal with loneliness. I know, because I did it too. I stayed in a toxic relationship far longer than I should have simply because I was afraid of being alone. I convinced myself that dealing with his insecurities, his manipulation, and his disrespect was better than dealing with my own thoughts. The thought of not having someone—even someone who treated me badly—felt scarier than walking away. But let me tell you something: learning to be alone saved me. It taught me self-respect. It gave me the power to make choices that actually served me instead of choices that kept me in a cycle of pain. Choosing Yourself Over Loneliness  I was conditioned to believe that being with him was better than being alone. This is what we, as women, are taught.  We’re taught to stick it out. To be understanding. To forgive and endure. But here’s the truth: we have a choice. We can choose them, or we can choose ourselves. But if we’re always choosing them, who is choosing us? When we don’t learn to be alone, we end up neglecting ourselves just to make other people comfortable. Your Challenge This Week This week, I want you to spend some intentional time alone. No distractions. No phone. Just you. Sit with your thoughts. Take yourself out on a date. Journal. Reflect. Ask yourself: * What am I afraid to face when I’m alone? * What do I actually enjoy doing when no one else is around? * How can I start creating a life where I am my own best company? Because the moment you master being alone, the moment you start truly loving yourself—that’s when your confidence becomes unshakable. Final Thoughts If this episode resonated with you, I want to hear about it! DM me, comment, or share your story. What’s been your biggest struggle with being alone? And if you’ve already embraced your own company, how has it changed your life? Remember: you are whole all by yourself. The love you seek from others? It starts with YOU. Tune in next time as we continue this journey to self-confidence, healing, and empowerment. Until then—love yourself, choose yourself, and never be afraid to stand on your own. episode Healing Journey – Phase 4: Taking Action artwork

Healing Journey – Phase 4: Taking Action

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2448924/open_sms] Have you ever felt stuck—like you’re constantly planning, dreaming, or waiting for the perfect moment, yet nothing ever changes? Maybe you’ve made vision boards, set goals, or told yourself, “I’ll start when I feel ready,” only to find yourself in the same place months later. If that sounds familiar, this episode is for you. In today’s episode, we’re diving into the power of taking action—the phase where you stop overthinking and start doing. Becoming a doer isn’t just about being busy; it’s about building momentum, overcoming fear, and finally making progress toward the life you want. Why Is Taking Action So Hard? Let’s be real—getting started is tough. Fear of failure, fear of judgment, and even fear of success can paralyze you before you take the first step. You might catch yourself thinking: 🔹 What if I mess up? 🔹 What if people think I’m foolish? 🔹 What if I’m not good enough? These thoughts create doubt, which leads to procrastination. Before you know it, you’re stuck in a cycle of “one day” thinking—waiting for the right mood, the right timing, or the right circumstances to magically appear. But here’s the truth: there’s no perfect time to start. The only way forward is to take action now, even if you’re scared. How Taking Action Transforms Your Life When you step into action, everything changes. Even small steps can unlock momentum, build confidence, and create lasting change. 💪 Taking action breaks the cycle of overthinking. Instead of spiraling in your head, you begin proving to yourself that you’re capable. 💪 It builds self-trust. Each time you follow through on what you said you’d do, you strengthen your belief in yourself. 💪 It rewires your mindset. The more you act, the less fear controls you. You start thinking, “I can handle this,” instead of, “I’m not ready.”  I know firsthand how hard it can be to break free from hesitation. There was a time when I kept putting off my goals, convincing myself I needed to “prepare more” or “wait until I had more energy.” But deep down, I knew those were just excuses.  Your Challenge This Week This week, I challenge you to take one intentional action toward a goal you’ve been putting off. It doesn’t have to be big—just one step forward. Maybe it’s writing that email, making that phone call, or dedicating 15 minutes to your passion project. Whatever it is, do it. And when you do, take a moment to reflect: How did it feel to take that step? What did you learn about yourself?
