Type 1 Diabetes with Thalia Burleigh

What an episode this one is!! Today we’ve got Thalia on to talk through her experience with type 1 diabetes. She’s had to deal with diabetes since the age of 12 and of course struggled to adjust to a new way of life but is now in first year of university- studying paediatric nursing. We talk through her experiences with diabetes, the struggles of someone dealing with T1D and lots of information about it all that will be sure to open your eyes to the realities of this really difficult, life altering autoimmune disease. International lacrosse and rope access with Alex Williams

On today’s episode we have Alex, a man of many talents. We talk through his various jobs, such as rope access- even though he’s scared of heights… He also played international lacrosse for over a decade with the Welsh national team, however in the first game of his ‘swan song’ tournament in San Diego he had his hand broken whilst playing. We talk through how he dealt with that injury and other such interesting topics, including of course who he’d have over for dinner!!
