Descripción

Todays episode is a bit of a vulnerable one, i’ve been pretty open about my mental health struggles on this podcast but it is something that is still hard for me to do. Recently I’ve been going through a difficult season of feeling pretty down. Every day is different but overall it’s been pretty exhausting. So I figured why not make something positive out of a generally negative thing. So today I’m going to be talking about some of the ways I get through a difficult season. If you are going though a difficult season as well just know that you are not alone and we will get through this!

Guarding Your Heart Doesn't Mean You Have to Numb It

Hello and welcome or welcome back to the dysfunctional podcast, it's been a minute and I’ve missed talking to your guys.  I saw a tik tok recently and it inspired what we are going to be talking about today. The tik tok I saw said guarding your heart does not mean you have to numb it and I thought to myself, I could make that a podcast topic.  A common misconception among christians is that when the bible says guard your heart that means you have to numb it or be closed off. But I don’t think christians alone are struggling with this problem, I think this is very common in my generation in general. So today we are going to be talking about what it means to guard your heart, and what this common misconception about guarding your heart has caused in society.
